While all our packaging is recyclable, the reality is that a lot of the rubbish we put in our recycling bins is not kerbside recyclable. Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components! A shampoo made for oily hair would have a higher concentration of cleansers than one made for dry hair because more oil needs to be removed, but you can achieve much the same result by varying the amount of shampoo you use or washing your hair twice, if needed.
