Description

One room contains a basic armchair, while the small piano is inspired by The Deathly Hallows, when Harry, Ron and Hermione take refuge in Grimmauld Place. We do feel it is important to show that not all LEGO Investments are a great addition to your portfolios and this article shows some of the weaker recently retired sets. The architecture is both detailed and simple with arched windows, front-of-house railings, and brickwork that recreates many townhouses you would find in the streets of London. TBB affirms each individual LEGO fan’s choice to claim a piece of the world for themselves, or to reject it entirely.

I often post separate photos of some of the small mini-models because they look amazing by themselves. Hanging on the wall is a painting of the Black family crest, and opposite it, a still life of a cup or chalice with some grapes and a skull. is built first and includes almost no interior detail, just a set of doors set back-to-back to represent Kreacher’s den.

However, for everything that 76408 12 Grimmauld Place offers, particularly based around the two key points – this being the first time we have visited this in LEGO form and it actually functions as it did in the book and film – there is plenty of value and play to be had both short and long term here. They provide an excellent grip point for opening and closing the model, and also signal effectively, “this is where to grab the build”. It doesn't totally capture the feel of the Ministry of Magic from the films, and the interiors are way too cramped.

The top floor is a relatively empty hallway-type space; the set photos show Fred and George goofing off here or nearby. With a magical 5-year projected increase in value and very solid annual growth this was always going to be a set to unravel the data on as retirement isn’t too far off in the future. Apart from Kingsley's hat lacking a print and Mrs Weasley continuing to use a face that doesn't quite suit her, I'd also say that I can find no flaws with the designs, while there are some noticeable ones in the Ministry. Ideally, they would move with each building, but something needs to remain static and provide a base.Inside you’ll find 7 bags of parts and a pack containing the instruction booklet and one sticker sheet. But it does look cool and for me at least, it is tempting to get another one to supersize it – similar to what I did with the Beauxbatons’ Carriage. I think a traditional dark orange colour may have been more appropriate than this vibrant colour though and my figure exhibits a printing issue around the eyes, which is hopefully isolated. These rooms contain enough space for figures, and I love the attention to detail with the relatives blotted out from the family tree. O VERAL L - Like 75980 Attack on the Burrow before it, 76408 12 Grimmauld Place captures a magical home with plenty of detail, fantastic and appropriate minifigures, and of course the core house-revealing function.

This 3-level building is bursting with amazing adventures and spectacular scenes from the Harry Potter™ films. The two houses follow nicely what we saw for 12 Grimmauld place in terms of style, though its neighbours are in more traditional colours rather than the grey and black colour scheme of the Black family home.
