Description

This girl's actions and reactions could characterized as wrong from the mass, but if you will read this story, you will realize that Ivy was just a broken girl who was a survivor.

She felt more genuine than most of the female protagonists I've encountered who also has the same issues.

It does deal with self harm and although it’s not the main focus of the books it is mentioned throughout. Every time Aiden would try to help her, she would just turn him down and continuously question why he wanted to help her. When Skylar Allen decided to move across the country for college, she thought it'd be the perfect chance to reinvent herself. When she’s not writing, she’s working out, binge-watching reality game shows, and spending time with her friends and family.

It’s easy to listen to because it's written in (mostly) feminine first person with a smooth female narrator. The teen did whatever was necessary to find shelter and survive, and years later is now left tormented by her past. He was having a heart made of gold and even though he wasn't broken as Ivy were, he had his own share of heartbreak and disappointments. This book was truly an amazing read, and while there are certain other sports romances that were great, this one really dug deep into the emotional and mental aspects of what Ivy experienced.Mainly the heroine overcoming her difficult past and really trying to figure out a life for herself. She was born and raised in upstate New York where she still resides with her four-legged feline sidekick Oliver “Ollie” Queen. i mean ivy’s whole story is her having issues with her family only to have like a chapter with her finally talking to them about it? i didnt hate her but her character definitely annoyed me at times with her constantly pushing aiden away.

I liked reading some cute thoughts from Aiden’s pov, but we didn’t get any cutesy moments of them together. Ivy finally has her life back on track and the last thing she expected was to run into the boy who turned her away. I may not agree with some of their justifications, especially with the heroine, but I grasped the true reasons behind their actions. This is an emotional story about a girl that lost her way at 16 because of the toxic relationship with her parents. They have both made mistakes, they both hurt, they both have dreams and want a better life and go about achieving that as best they can.Ivy’s inner struggles with her dark thoughts were something that was on-going through out the story. Para empezar se escapó de su casa sin motivo y razón, simplemente porque sus papás tenían problemas entre ellos y a ella la ignoraban, nunca hubo un maltrato, abuso hacia ella. Now take all those dynamics and wrap them up into a one-of-a-kind story that incorporates sports, family issues, self-harm and fated love and you’ve got the makings of one of my top reads this year already with Dare You To Hate Me. This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. For starters I kept having to flick back thinking I'd missed key parts of the story like how they were separated and then suddenly appeared in each others lives again.

she tends to also put herself down a lot which is a bad thing ofc but i think at some point in the book i started wondering if she even wanted help at all? So when they accidentally meet in the present at college she punishes him endlessly for not joining her in her bad decisions, even though her life is STILL AWFUL.Safety: trigger warning for attempted suicide, suicidal thoughts; 3+ semi explicit scenes with sexual content. So the night Ivy snuck out of his bedroom window after hugging him goodbye, she accepted she'd probably never see him again. I loved the hero in this book, he knew that he had to give her space during the initial phase of their relationship but he still kept an eye out on her. it doesnt really feel like their in love but more like ”they love each other because their besties with a history” and so yay lets have sex. Ivy is so sassy, she has a take no shit attitude, she does what she needs to do to get by in this book and is never once ashamed of being herself.
