Lidl's offering was much better. They looked bigger and were wetter, making them good value overall. Aimee: The price makes this product very attractive. I do feel the wipes are slightly thinner than other brands I have used and don’t clean as well as others, however, they are not the worst. I have found I use on average 1 to 2 more wipes per nappy change or face wipe due to less absorbency than other brands so I would recommend this product to mums on a budget. How did this product make your life easier?

The Baby Box University is free to join, parents who sign up just need to select a Lidl store near them to collect the box from. The Baby Box can be delivered for a small charge. Cash-strapped parents will welcome the free Lidl nappies and wipes but it is the box itself that potentially is the most valuable.

As the above price comparison shows, you can make significant savings when you search online and instore for special offers and baby events. Read More Related Articles

If you have bought one of the Lupilu Baby Food Pouches affected by the recall, do not eat the contents or feed it to your baby. With organic jojoba oil and aloe vera extract, these wipes from budget supermarket Lidl are fragrance-free and soothing. If you’re after wipes free from added alcohol, colour, silicone, animal products and other nasties, these are up for the job. They also soft, absorbent and extra tear-resistant. Verity: These Lupilu Baby Wipes represent a reasonably good value for money compared to similar products of a similar description. For mums on a tight budget they would be a good choice. The sealed ‘lid’ makes them useful for being out and about and stops them drying up but is probably unnecessary given the amount and rate that wipes are used for all those newborn pops!

Lidl claims its Lupilu nappies have magical air tubes with absorbent channels in the core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours (eight hours for the newborn range). They have soft fleece and an elasticated waistband for a comfortable fit. Its nappy range covers sizes one through to six, with three additional plus sizes. Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage 1, Butternut Squash, Apples, Carrots & Prunes (120g)Aldi says its nappies have an ultra-dry air system with a fast-absorbing core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours. The nappies don’t contain any perfume, lotion or latex and are designed to be soft and breathable with a slim design for free movement. Aldi's nappies are available in sizes one to six, and there are also plus sizes for extra absorbency. Lidl Lupilu Nappies They stood out among the others not only because they were the only ones with a cute pattern on them, but because they were really strong. They were moist too. To get one, new and expectant parents need to sign up and watch parenting videos designed to teach them all about their child's early years. The box is traditional in Finland and is designed to help stop a newborn rolling on to its stomach during sleep.

Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage 1, Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Apples & Blueberries (120g) Ina: I would get rid of the fragrance. Personally, I do not like the lingering smell on my baby's hand and face but the lotion must have helped with not having any reaction on the skin so they must be working.

Samantha: I think for the value for money you would struggle to get wipes of this quality, unless you are buying bulk or when offers are on. That was the main thing that stood out for me and also the convenience of buying them from a supermarket whilst doing your weekly shop. I thought the wipes were an excellent product. These may have been among the cheapest of the wipes I tried, but they felt dry so they wouldn't clean well. We were asked to try the Soft and Dry Lupilu nappy pants from Lidl to see how we found them. I’m not going to lie, I was initially dubious, as although we had used them for Joanna for a short time, she was a bit older, and by that stage she was only wearing them at night. I wondered how Luca would get on using them day and night.
