Mr Marsh is a campaigner for the inclusion of a None of the Above box on ballot papers and even changed his name by deed poll to “none of the Above X” before standing in a series of Basildon elections. Financial Modeling and the Crisis: Asset Allocation,” (with Paul Pfleiderer), Financial Analysts’ Journal, In Japanese: Nippon Gendai Finance Journal, 2012, Vol. 31.

Marsh changed his name by deed poll to " None Of The Above X" and stood in the 2010 and 2015 UK general elections as an independent candidate in protest against there being no option to vote for " none of the above". [2] Early life [ edit ] This lantern is stamped 228D on the collar and has the features that one finds on other 220/228D’s of the mid 1940’s including the large valve wheel, two-piece stamped burner, and “D” version of the instruction decal. However, this lantern, in Jim Lawrence’s collection, is date stamped B 46 (July – Dec. 1946); compare to the date range for Models 220C and 228C above. In 1948-49 Coleman changed their Model 413C from the early 1947 version above by replacing the brass tag identifying the model with the model embossed in the front of the case under the handle. While the tank is still painted brown it is described as steel, not Solodur. The Coleman parallelogram decal appears on a number of these later stoves. This stove is in John Stendahl’s collection. In other UK elections Marsh has symbolically voted for none of the above by leaving the polling station carrying his uncast ballot paper. [15] Amateur achievements [ edit ] Very apprehensive. I’m proud of my undefeated record and realised I was putting that and my reputation on the line. This Model 521 military heating unit has a 5000BTU burner and is dated ’45 A. The steel can fits over the burner when not in use; it was borrowed from a ’43 stove for this image. The extra generator parts (lower image) can be cleaned for reuse. The stove, in James Cowan’s collection, came with the supports that will hold a much larger pot on the stove. A defense against Akaio Kameda in 1987 saw Marsh box his way through a veil of blood, caused by a cut over his right eye, before eventually catching up with his challenger in the seventh round. At the time Marsh was not completely sure that he would walk away from the sport, a failed BBBoC medical forced his hand after he was diagnosed with epilepsy. On 7 September 2009, Wogan confirmed to his listeners that he would be leaving the show at the end of the year, with Chris Evans taking over the breakfast show from 11 January 2010. [1] The final show was broadcast on 18 December 2009. [2] Regular stand-in presenter Johnnie Walker became interim host of the breakfast show for the three-week period between Wogan's departure and Evans' arrival. You have won that acclaim. You have got that recognition. What you say is considered important. You get into all the nice places and you get invites to the nice dos and events. So in that sense you can see how people hanker for boxing. If you have got nothing else to go to you do yourself a lot of damage by carrying on.”

One of the ways you can always tell the police have little or no case against a defendant is when a central plank of the prosecution is the testimony of a fellow prisoner. Time after time cases have centred not on evidence collected by the police before or shortly after arrest, but instead on evidence dubiously obtained from within the prison system. Sometimes we are expected to believe a defendant who never agreed to say a single word to the police whilst being questioned, gets straight to prison, finds the biggest scumbag in the whole jail and immediately starts bragging to him about what he has supposedly done. Such was the case with Terry Marsh. While Coleman embossed 237 lanterns for the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway), they did not do so for the CNR (Canadian National Railway). These 237 lanterns are stenciled CNR, presumably in railroad maintenance shops. The lantern on the left and lower is date stamped October, 1948, and is in Claude Ruel’s collection while the lantern on the right is date stamped January, 1952, and is in Agostino Del Coro’s collection. The globe on the lantern on the left is a replacement.

Now the Washington paedophile has been jailed for 18 month for offences Newcastle Crown Court heard "society despises". One port of call on his chequered CV was the post-boxing after dinner speaking circuit; Marsh tried it immediately after his retirement, and then returned to it in 2009. I managed to catch one of engagements. Starting off with some anecdotal stories, Marsh then moved on to the subject of boxing, astonishing some crowd members with a cynical view of the sport that had brought him such success. As a book, it is possible to find faults with “Undefeated”. Boxing fans may have preferred more detail about some of the fight characters Marsh undoubtedly met, whilst those expecting tales of celebrity drug taking and partying will be disappointed – when Marsh succeeded in getting a date with Miss Isle of Man, he was horrified to turn up and find she had brought her boyfriend with her! Although the issues Terry Marsh faced with epilepsy are mentioned, the reader is not informed if these problems persist today. This Col-Max Model 555, in Don Colston’s collection, is a 500 cp model dated Jan ’58 and Made in Canada. Like the examples of Model 333 above, this 555 has an alcohol preheater cup. From his birth in east London in 1958, until 1991 (when the books narrative ends) Terry Marsh fitted in more than many people manage in a lifetime. A career in the Royal Marine Commandos, life as a fireman, an amateur and then professional boxer, media celebrity, a remand prisoner and defendant at the Old Bailey, all are relayed to the reader in an easy-going, self deprecating manner. At times it actually sounds easy! Coleman continued making the 242C lantern until December, 1950, even though they were making the new Model 200 above. Some parts on these are steel rather than brass such as the vent stud, air tubes, frame base plate (these were painted with high temperature silver paint) (lower image), and base rest/collar on this lantern, that is in Doug Dwyer’s collection. The steel parts may have been a way to use up surplus parts. The mixing chamber casting has 3 datum targets unique to those made in the Wichita factory. Model 238B was made for export; the directions on the collar are only in Dutch and French. This 500 cp kerosene fueled model has a preheater torch and alcohol cup. The generator is ribbed, the burner tip is ceramic, & the ventilator is aluminum. The round glass globe was removed for the image. This lantern, in Bob Frank’s collection, is dated April ’52. Another military heating unit, Model 522 is undated but was made between 1942-45 and has one 10,000BTU burner. The diameter of the fount is 8 inches; the unit is 13 inches tall to the top of the legs. Two of the legs are replacements. This stove is in Kyle Marsh’s collection.
