Description

Running parallel to the conflict are the story arcs of Johnny and Daniel's students. Johnny opens a new Cobra Kai dojo that attracts a group of bullied nerds and social outcasts who find a camaraderie and self-confidence under his tutelage, but there are some who take his aggressive philosophy too far, in particular his star pupil, Miguel Diaz. In contrast, Johnny's estranged son, Robby Keene, comes under the wing of Daniel, who hires the boy at his car dealership, initially not knowing that Johnny is his father. Daniel eventually proves a positive influence to the boy, teaching him Mr. Miyagi's philosophy of balance. Meanwhile, Daniel's daughter, Samantha, is caught in the middle of these conflicts as she learns who her true friends are and a better path to follow. Upon meeting LaRusso for the first time after his recovery in season 3, Miguel starts to see that they have more in common than he previously believed, and he begins to respect LaRusso and his methods, as well as his perspective in the rivalry with Johnny. He also learns about Mr. Miyagi, and expresses some regret that he was born too late to have become a student of Miyagi's, feeling he could have learned much, which Daniel appreciates. Daniel also gives his congratulations to Miguel for winning the last tournament by remarking "from one All-Valley champion to another". By the end of the season, Miguel trains at Miyagi-Do with the Miyagi Do's and Eagle Fang students, with both Daniel and Johnny as his co-senseis.

Their apartment's handyman is an eccentric, but kind and humble Okinawan immigrant named Mr. Miyagi. During his teenage years, Mr. Miyagi fell in love with a young woman named Yukie, who was arranged to marry Sato, as pre-arranged marriages were a custom in Okinawa at the time. One day while Mr. Miyagi is teaching Daniel at his house, Silver shows up and gives both Mr. Miyagi and Daniel a fake apology over Kreese's behavior after the All Valley tournament, as well as lies to them about Kreese dying as a result of losing his students to gain their sympathy. Unaware that Silver is lying, Mr. Miyagi and Daniel accept his apology and apologize for what happened to Kreese.

Daniel-san, you remember lesson about balance?" "Lesson not just karate only. Lesson for all life. Whole life have a balance, everything be better." ―Mr. Miyagi to Daniel [src] Even after his father’s passing, Sato is bent on fighting Mr. Miyagi. He goes as far as to destroy the village to fight Mr. Miyagi. After seeing Sato destroying the village, an angry Mr. Miyagi agrees to fight him. However, after Mr. Miyagi saves Sato from death during a typhoon, Sato renounces his hate and asks Mr. Miyagi to forgive him; the two make peace and Sato helps rebuild the village and disowning Chozen. Before class, Kreese introduces the students to Terry and talks about how they founded Cobra Kai. Terry explains that the training will now be more intense because of the upcoming All-Valley Tournament. Silver and Kreese arrive at Miyagi-Do where they visit Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Before Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang begin training, Terry falsely apologizes to Daniel for his behavior in 1985. However, Daniel sees through his deception and doesn't forgive Silver and demands he exit his property. Silver and Kreese agree to cease fire until the All-Valley. They pretend they are innocent in the dojo feud and leave, though once out of earshot, Silver coolly states that he will destroy the arrogant Daniel. Terry and Kreese return to Cobra Kai to tell their students of the no-fighting restrictions. Silver instructs a frustrated group to store their anger and use it when necessary. He also instructs them to use discipline and how they need to receive it. SIlver understands how badly they want to defeat Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, but they need to focus on their training first. Just like Johnny and Daniel, the merge with Miyagi-Do helped the students rekindle their friendships with one another. Moylan, Brian (December 31, 2021). Two more Goju-Ryu Easter eggs imply that it is the inspiration for Miyagi-Do. In The Karate Kid Part II, a Goju-Ryu patch can be clearly seen on Chozen’s (Yuji Okumoto) gi. The Goju-Ryu symbol is a golden upraised fist, often with the characters for Karate written underneath and it is unmistakable. Chozen was trained by his uncle Sato (Danny Kamekona), a fellow student under Miyagi’s father (Charlie Tanimoto) so they all practice the same style. A new Karate Kid film is in development by Sony Pictures, described as the return to the original franchise. [71] Book [ edit ]
