Description

The Scravenger features an alternative slam fire mechanism that features a physical switch, rather than through holding the trigger and continually priming. This may have been done to make slam firing easier on a lever-action blaster. It is not unheard of to convert a blaster to being able to slam fire through the use of a kit; however, these are uncommon. Alpha Trooper CS-18 • Deploy CS-6 • Longshot CS-6 • LongStrike CS-6 • Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 • Rayven CS-18 • Recon CS-6 • Stampede ECS This gun looks cool. Being a major Arnold Schwarzenegger fan growing up, I'll take any excuse to reenact a Terminator 2 scene with this mini gun, some shades and one of the worst Austrian accents to date. I had several other categories planned for this list: Best Multi-shot Rifle, Best Motorized, Most Carnage, Best Accuracy, Longest Distance, etc. But the MK-3 took them all. So I summed it up with a Best Overall title, and now I'm here to sing its praises before moving on with my life.

You will like the elite darts that come with this blaster because of their superior design that enhances their velocity and impact. The designers chose a shape and size that streamlines the darts for greater speed and accuracy. These darts rarely misfire and always stay on their course as desired by the gunner’s aim. You are more likely to hit your target with these elite darts than with the random darts that are usually made without serious regard to the details of mass, weight, size and shape. The Hail-Fire can use eight Firefly Tech clips, four eighteen dart drums, or four thirty-five dart drums at once with no spacing issues. [4] This would give a capacity of 144 darts, 72 darts, and 140 darts, respectively. Examples of pseudo-slam fire blasters are the Nerf Mega ThunderBow, the BOOMco. Mad Slammer, and the Dart Zone Powerbolt Belt Blaster. The Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster maintains a commanding presence on the toy gun market. Mostly because of:Partially due to this being a motorized unit, the velocity on the Pro Series MK-3 was more than quadruple the second-place contender. That massive velocity number naturally translates into greater distance on the course. We saw about a 30% increase in distance between this unit and the runner-up. The accuracy and consistency was just as impressive. With a score of 2.5 (lower is better), the half-size darts on the MK-3 are impressively consistent. The second place score was 3.4, with last place being 8.6. Unlike most other early blasters in the N-Strike Elite line, the Hail-Fire is not a successor to any previous N-Strike blaster, making it the first completely original blaster in the series. More often than not, slam firing will cause a blaster's accuracy and firing range to decrease, the former due to the action of slam firing often destabilizing. Slam firing blaster may also lead to jams and damaged darts, if done improperly. The way darts feed into a blaster can be a factor in this, due to not having time to properly seat into the blaster before it is fired. N-Strike Elite running change "economy" variant (same plastic colors as the standard version, but sporting considerably fewer paint operations)

Alpha Trooper CS-12 • Firestrike • RapidStrike CS-18 • Rayven CS-18 • Rayven Stinger • Rough Cut 2x4 • Spectre REV-5 • Strongarm • Stryfe • Triad EX-3 The Nerf Hail-Fire is the flagship N-Strike Elite blaster. Or at least it was. It was the crown jewel of the Elite blaster lineup. It stood for everything the Elite blasters were meant to represent: New risky designs, large over the top ammo capacity, and increased firepower and range. It accomplished this mostly. It is still the highest capacity Nerf blaster out there today. It still keeps up with the established 75 foot range of other Elite blasters. But its weird, bulky, awkward design just is not for me. It’s hard to reload on the fly, it’s not very easily maneuverable. It’s meant to be more of a heavy fire, suppressive fire type of thing. That was never my style, though. The Nerf Hail-Fire.To be fair, this gun did cost a bit more, and has the phrase "Pro-Series" in its title. However, we've all been fooled by similar monikers before, so I thought it deserved to be put to the test. It does have an optional full-auto firing mode and comes with both full- and half-size sport darts. Using a full set of ten dart clips will give a maximum capacity of eighty darts. A full set of eight twelve dart clips will give a maximum of ninety-six darts. The 144 capacity claim, however, is matched when a full set of eighteen dart clips is used. OK. I will try to make this as short as reasonably possible. The TL;DR here is that the Dart Zone Pro-Series MK-3 Motorized Flywheel Pro Dart Blaster (whew!) beat the rest of these guns like Mike Tyson versus your 8-year-old nephew. The Hail-Fire is the third Nerf blaster to have a special release on September 9th, alongside the Stampede ECS in 2010 and the Raider CS-35 in 2009.
