Description

The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is a very basic design, but if you'd rather not faff around with multiple functions and Wi-Fi connectivity then that might be part of its appeal.

This compact and portable 1000ml Dehumidifier is great at combating mould, musty smells, humidity and window condensation in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, and garages. It features a 1000ml water tank capable of removing up to 450ml of moisture per day, and has an auto shut-off function to turn the dehumidifier off once full to conserve energy. Utilising a quiet Peltier technology, the unit also features 6 programmable LED lights to illuminate the water tank and create a relaxing ambience. That said, this small dehumidifier won't be for everyone. It's extraction rate is low at just 500ml per day, so if you have large rooms, significant moisture issues, or want to use a dehumidifier to help to dry laundry indoors, this dehumidifier likely won't be for you. Its extraction capacity is too small. The ProBreeze 1500ml mini dehumidifier is very low maintenance. Just wipe it over with a damp cloth every couple of days, especially the vent areas, just to stop any dust from gathering. .What sets this Pro Breeze dehumidifier apart from other designs is its rainbow LED light that can add ambient lighting to your room. You can choose from one of six vibrant colours, which comes in useful if you’re using it in the bedroom and want a nightlight, although you can also choose to have it turned off while in use. Sure, some people might find it unnecessary and/or gaudy, but if you're all about that RGB life, then this should definitely be on your shortlist. Aesthetics aside, there's also some practicality to the LED madness — the water tank will also turn red when it’s full so you know when to empty it. The dehumidifier is designed to remove up to 450ml of moisture per day but also has a handy timer that switches off after four hours, which is ideal if you’re going out or want to use it through the night. While its water tank volume is 1000ml, it has the ability to remove up to 600ml per day.

I tested the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier in a couple of different rooms throughout my home. In the kitchen, it did a great job of stopping condensation on the windows when I was cooking. It didn’t really get rid of any odours associated with cooking like other dehumidifiers have, but this design doesn’t have an air filter, so that’s understandable. Of course, with the cost of living and climate crisis, it's important to take into account the energy usage of any home appliance, and you'll likely be wondering how much a dehumidifier costs to run.Damp can be a big problem in the winter months,’ says Lara Brittain, kitchen expert at Currys, who has seen an increase in sales of dehumidifiers over the last six weeks with sales up by 188 per cent. ‘Whether you’re drying your clothes indoors - rather than on the washing line outside - or if your home is just more prone to damp and mould, a dehumidifier can be a great investment during the colder months.’

Next-Generation Peltier Technology: Capable of removing up to 500ml of water per day with a 1500ml water tank capacity. Ideal for rooms up to 2200 cubic feet (220 sq ft). There are a few pieces of plastic tape that need removing from the sides of the dehumidifier which are placed there to keep anything from shifting during transit. But once unboxed, it’s ready to use. Hour Switch-Off Timer: The dehumidifier features an up to 4-hour programmable timer, which will automatically turn off to save energy. Combined with whisper-quiet operation, this makes the dehumidifier perfect for use overnight. We've made our selection of the best dehumidifiers based on a number of criteria. One of these is our own personal experience with various models of dehumidifiers over the years having tested them in our own damp-ridden London flats and homes to see how well they fared. And when we couldn't get our hands on a model to test ourselves, we took detailed notes from those who had and compared their specs against the ones we know and love. We've also chosen a selection across a range of sizes and price points, with some best for the bedroom and for smaller or larger spaces. Shop GQ’s edit of the best dehumidifiers you can currently buy… Considering the compact size of the appliance, the water tank on this dehumidifer is pretty generous. It has a 1500ml capacity which means you won’t have to change it every day, even if you leave the dehumidifier running. Vibrant LED Colours: Select 6 vibrant colours to illuminate the water tank and add some ambient lighting to your room or bedroom. For comparison, the MeacoDry Arete One 12L dehumidifier (which is a compressor dehumidifier) uses 151W of electricity which equates to 5p per hour, and the EcoAir DD1 Simple MK3 dehumidifer (a desiccant dehumidifier) uses 300W - 580W, costing between and 9p and 17p per hour to run. Noise levels

You can now find a wide range of designs online that cater for various budgets and room sizes. There are automatic models that turn on if your home reaches a certain level of humidity, and switches off after a set period or when the water tank is full, and those that combine both air purifying and dehumidifying settings in one. ProBreeze states the unit's energy consumption is just 40W. At current energy prices of 30p per kilowatt hour of electricity, that means the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier costs just 1p per hour to run.The only area it didn't perform that well was in drying clothes but then, unlike other dehumidifiers that have specific laundry modes, the 1500ml Mini doesn't claim to be able to help in this regard. I tried it anyway but didn’t find that it did much. The clothes were still wet after 24 hours. As such operation couldn't be easier, however, I did miss having a little more functionality during testing. Performance
