A bit of a shame that most people just know him for 'driving home for Xmas', as he is actually a master of the instrument and just became a bit derivative with the sounds that made money. It looks nice in the pictures, but ten times better in person; truly the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever owned. Thereby Chris Rea and his band imitate the various styles and lyrical topics, creating an instantly recognizable atmosphere on each record, with the first few songs usually setting up the direction in which the record is going and then developing to various styles within the field of each record.

Personally, I think he excelled at the early styles of country and slide stuff, so I never really listened to the whole thing, it was an ambitious project, and I am happy to see him still around, on the fishing programme. The project culminated in an exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute (I attended the event) and a corresponding book. The book, slightly smaller than an LP cover, begins after the two pages that hold the first 8 CDs with two large paintings.

He just wanted to get down on record the variety of blues that he enjoyed, hence the different styles per disc. It is clear -- and Rea makes it clear -- that the blues pervades everything in American musical history. Guitar Guitar Limited trading as guitarguitar acts as a credit broker not a lender and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm registration number 742103. If you've found open string chords like A major a bit of a squeeze on a standard electric, you'll love the room two extra millimetres affords here. Whether it's a bright gloss or smooth satin, maybe a trans coat revealing the wood underneath - your need to love the look of your bass guitar.True to the look and spirit of the "Old Lady", the instantly recognisable pinstripe-bound, double cutaway mahogany body shape features an acoustic chamber modelled on Brian's original design that enhances the Special's natural resonance and decreases weight.

The BMG definitely has its own unique thing going on – it’s nothing like a Strat, or Les Paul, or SG, or Tele (giving my generation away here). Complete your blue guitar with a matching blue guitar strap or add some colour with a patterned strap, red strap or a green strap. It is also worth noting that the Blue D’Aquisto Centura Deluxe was featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the museum’s “Guitar Heroes” exhibit in 2011. Certainly, it's the closest option if you're chasing a typical bridge humbucker tone but with an appealing raspy edge if you dig in on the lower wound strings.
