If you are using the Parrot Mambo for video recording then you might want something a little more stable, but for pure fun and enjoyment it is hard to beat. The second gen model descendant of the Parrot line, this quadcopter is an improvement from the previous model and showcases the hard work put in by the Parrot line over the last decade. One of these improvements is the battery life, it comes with 1000mAh lithium polymer battery which provides you with up to 12 minutes of flight time. The specs of the Parrot include a powerful ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and it has 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The camera is pretty sufficient for basic use as the Parrot sports a 720p 30FPS HD camera with a 92 degree wide angle lens. It also sports a second (more basic) camera that points vertically which captures video in QVGA at 60FPS. Overall the Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Elite Edition Quadcopter is definitely worth comsidering, everything in this drone’s suite of features will please 99.9% of the those beginning their drone journey. The power edition lets you fly for longer although it is more expensive. It is a good drone for beginners but it also has features that experienced pilots will like. If you are looking for a fun drone that will not break the bank and takes some quality photos and video footage, then this drone will be one to consider. Once you've mastered the basics, go ahead and remove the safety guard. The drone is then much more maneuverable, and not so affected by a light breeze.

Coming to the range at which this drone can fly is within 50m range. The design and build quality are very good which will be discussed in the later sections. The camera is very nicely designed with an extra FPV Feature that makes this drone even more worth the price.The battery slips easily into the drone, and the hull snaps on (rather loosely, actually, but it works just fine). The advantage of buying this drone over a cheaper one with a cheaper headset is that this headset comes with a built in top quality LCD display that is designed for this exact purpose. You do not have to put your smartphone in and hope for the best – it just works right out of the box. Hubsan are one of the big players in the budget and mid-end drone market and have made waves over the last 12 to 18 months with some of their exceptional products. I strongly recommend that your first flight be outside, in an open area, on a windless day. You can do it inside, but be careful.
