They are made of plastic with an interesting finish, that hides all scratches or imperfections perfectly. The finish is good and they definitely don’t feel like falling apart anytime soon. The AirPods Pro 2 are all-plastic as well and their build quality is also exceptional. While the reviewed ZE8000 don’t feel as sturdy and dense as the APP2, their build quality is definitely good and you wouldn’t have to worry about them too much.

When it comes to sound, the Svanar Wireless is more detailed, punchier, and more dynamic sounding. They do sound great with dynamic music, offering a very lively, involving, and fun sound. Inside the app, you’ll find two ways to adjust the sound. Or at least, two ways that might let you adjust the sound. The battery life using the 8k sound option is decent at 4h, and the case allows you to have another 15h of juice. This is okay, but considering how bulky and big the case is, I wish it’d give you more battery life. The f-CORE drivers are powered by Class-AB amplifiers, which Final says delivers a better balance between sound quality and power efficiency than the Class-D amplifiers that most true wireless earphones use. Final promises lower total harmonic distortion (THD) from these drivers than we’ve experienced from other true wireless earphone models, resulting in a higher level of detail and more precise sound texture. An interesting question is, how Final succeeded in making ZE8000 to be balanced, natural and clean in a way not found before? The answer to this is that ZE8000 is engineered to reproduce every single note in a musical piece with the highest possible timbre quality. And of course the next question that naturally comes to mind is, what is the single critical factor that allowed ZE8000 to have this unique timbre reproduction? There is no doubt that the first step towards this was the design of the new f-CORE for 8Κ SOUND driver, the use of a class AB Amplifier and Rubicon PML CAP capacitors and, most of all, the Proprietary DSP Algorithm and FIR Filter, which makes all the computational work. However, I believe that the single critical factor for the unique timbre reproduction is that all these components were designed to live in the same eco-system, and this make them to collaborate as close to perfect as possible. I didn’t expect a Bluetooth IEM could sound better than my more expensive wired IEM, but I was proven to be wrong. This is a spectacular product that is not only excellent at all frequencies and all types of music but offers a highly transparent and fast performance. Once you get used to the unusual looks and fitting, this will reward your music collection with long listening sessions. Both IEMs are valid options for an audiophile on the go, who values the sound quality the most. They do have different sound signatures, so this will be the aspect to focus on while deciding between the two. Let’s start this comparison with the things that are not sound-related. Here, the AirPods Pro 2 takes the cake in every single category. The build quality, charging case, ANC, transparent mode, battery life, controls, and fit – the AirPods Pro 2 are significantly better in all these categories. Ignoring the slightly slushy feel in the lowest part of the midrange (which again, can be easily adjusted), I was thrilled to find an IEM that gives the low mids so much love relative to the higher midrange. It’s a unique tuning and definitely geared to those who love a very full-bodied and lush sound. At the same time, instruments in the higher mids are well separated. Still, the overall profile is more gentle in its delivery than the tighter and snapper ZE models that have come before it. That’s not to say that the the ZE8000 is not sufficiently detailed in this range. In fact, it avoids any compression, taking its time to reveal subtleties in timbre and breath. Still, there is more smoothness than grip on these IEMs, giving a more fluid feel overall. Highs The Final Audio ZE8000 is a bag of mixed feelings for me. The sound quality and tuning are both great and highly attractive for audiophiles who have been waiting for true “audiophile-grade” TWS IEMs. The Final ZE8000 support thWell, not really, the naming could be misleading a bit. It’s called 8000 not because it’s a wireless version of the A8000, but rather because it’s a flagship of this series, which makes sense. Also, very clear are phone calls by means of Final's proprietary beamforming algorithm and two high-performance microphones placed at the top and bottom of ZE8000. During a phone call, the two microphones simultaneously capture the user's voice and ambient sound and their signals are instantaneously calculated by the beamforming algorithm. That way only the user's voice is extracted for a clear call. Unlike every other pair of true wireless earbuds, the ZE8000 don’t use Class D amplification. Instead, Final Audio has decided Class A/B is the way to go - its rationale is that the trade-off in efficiency is worth it for the lower distortion figures. It’s an admirable (or perhaps bloody-minded) decision. On the other hand, low-level details are masked, as can be heard on EIDA’s Relentless where some of the subtle strokes on the fretboard at the beginning are muted.

Significantly eliminates wind noise captured by the microphones when there is a lot of ambient air movement. The electronics on the ZE8000 are contained in the stalk section of the earbuds, making the earpiece ... [+] driver housing more compact. ROBNHOOD GoichiKONDO I think the above three is what makes Final saying that ZE8000’s performance is the “True Sound” of music. It is hard for me to describe how “true” is a sound coming out of an IEM, headphone or TWS system, as true is only what is played by the orchestra or found in the nature; however, for the first time I thought that maybe what we call “true” is as close to the actual true as possible. The ZE8000 does have ANC capability, but again, I found it unnecessary, given the highly effective natural sound isolation. In fact, I had a difficult time discerning the difference between Transparency mode and ANC. But personally, I buy Final Audio IEMs for their sound performance more than I do for any accompanying bells and whistles. For those unfamiliar, Final started out in 2007 as a subsidiary of American connector manufacturer Molex, before going independent under Japanese management in 2014.

Shibo” in Japanese means wrinkled paper, and the ZE8000’s exterior texture evokes the feeling of touching a paper-like material. If you’re coming from a set of earbuds like the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, it can be an unnerving experience. My first reaction was, wait, where did the high-end go? But once you give yourself a few minutes to adjust to the acoustics, that’s when it hits you: as fun as it can be to listen to a set of earbuds that magnify certain sounds, it can also be tiring. The ZE8000 are just a more relaxed way to listen. Simon Cohen / Digital Trends
