It has a large cutting and bevel capacity (76mm at 90 degrees and 53mm at 45 degrees), with precision gearing and ball and needle bearing construction for smooth and efficient power transmission. Convenience features include an adjustable top guide to align notches with line-of-cut for improved accuracy, and auxiliary front and top handles positioned for comfort and control. The blade wrench is attached to the saw for fast blade changing, with a flat motor housing design for added convenience. The large, conveniently-located adjustment knobs and levers are engineered for easier adjustments. Features: It mows through pine without issue. It seems appropriately powered; not bogging down but not feeling uncontrollably overpowered. The big blade guard handle is handy. The front handle takes getting used to but feels sturdy. I was initially worried that the safety switch would be a bother but frankly I haven’t even noticed I was using it. I definitely like the weight. While I wish it was lighter, I’m glad it’s not as heavy as the competition. Depth and bevel controls are standard; Which isn’t to say “great” but few saws have precision depth and bevel. The included 24T std. kerf ATB blade cuts decent tough I’ll probably end up replacing it with a 40T blade when it wears out. It’s be nice if the front handle was repositionable. Holding both handles is slightly awkward. It’s too big around and it’s square in profile instead of an ergonomic oval shape. It’s also kinda slippery having no rubber overmolding like most other saws these days. If it wasn’t so big already, I’d consider wrapping it with grip tape. I’m just glad this isn’t my everyday use saw.
