FEATURES: 250 user and 250 preset patches, 38 second phrase looper (19 in stereo), 6 in/6 out USB audio interface, software editor with USB or Bluetooth connection, mono or polyphonic tuner, metronome, IR loading capability Instead, you’ll need to go to Librarian and create a “Liveset”. From the left hand side list, drag the preset that you want to share into the Liveset. Then simply hit the “Export” button on the top right hand corner, choose which Liveset you want to export and select “File” for the destination. You’ll be prompted to enter a filename, and then you’re all set. Enjoy enhanced performance functionality with the new Manual and Pedalboard modes (Version 3 update) There really needs to be a better flow about how you assign parameters - and how various elements of the interface are served up together - as some parts of the system are somewhat disconnected on a topology level. I certainly feel that several aspects should be fairly easily improved via software / firmware updates, while others will likely remain as known limitations. However, each and every one of these footswitches can be customized! So if you wanted to run your GT-1000 like a virtual pedalboard and assign specific effects to the footswitches instead of patches, you can.

You can send MIDI commands in two ways — on a patch basis (i.e. whenever you change to a new patch, a set of MIDI commands will be sent out) or using Assigns to send out MIDI commands when you stomp on a footswitch. Sending MIDI commands on a patch basis When it comes to receiving MIDI commands, the GT-1000 essentially allows you to virtually mirror any or all of the functions that you would assign to a footswitch on the unit, using an external MIDI controller. These functions are not mapped to specific CC numbers, so you will have to set them manually. Fits into any pedalboard setup and works equally well as a stand-alone processor for live and studio use Now that you’ve set your delay tempo to subdivisions, you need a hands-free way to input the tempo for the delay to work off — and the answer is of course, tap tempo.TRANSPARENT— essentially a flat frequency response preamp which can be used to great effect particularly with acoustic guitar. Set the TARGET parameter to MIDI PC# or MIDI CC#, then set SOURCE to whichever footswitch you want to use to trigger the MIDI command. For a pedal with as much functionality and feature set as the GT-1000 CORE - it really needs an intuitive connected App Interface to smooth out some of the rough edges. With newly-designed, dedicated bass preamps and bass effects, GT-1000 is now the flagship multi-effects processor for both guitar and bass (Version 3 update)

Bass: I have been struggling to achieve a tone I am 100% satisfied with. More specifically I have a problem with the X-bass compressor. I am not able to dial it in, but I guess I need to spend more time on learning how to do this. I have made tones from scratch and each iteration introduces a small variable in the way I dial tones, but the end results vary HUGELY. So there are both pros and cons to this, pros being that I SEE that this unit has potential to have a HUGE variation in any tones you want to make, but the con is that with my bass (I think it is the fault of my bass) is shitty and maybe with a better bass it might be a bit different. In a nutshell, my problem is the lower end being "boomy" and "sub-woofer-ey" . There is also a hissing noise in all bass patches I make using the Bass Drv effect, however my bass (Epiphone Tobias Toby Deluxe IV) is notorious for having hissy and cheap electronics, so I am wary to blame the GT1KC for this problem. In the Control Function menu, you can assign any single function to a footswitch. Press MENU → CONTROL ASSIGN → CONTROL FUNCTION. The Software / Firmware here is rather in is infancy in most ways, and does not have the sophistication of modern consumer computing devices - I expect this will come eventually, but for now it's all a little manual and clunky really comparatively. The insight from this is (IN MY EXPERIENCE): the quality of your guitar/bass and the electronics play a HUGE role in the output quality. It gives the impression of how clear and transparent the converters are. If you use a good quality guitar bass with good quality components and electronics, you will really hear each detail. I am seeing a huge difference between my guitar and bass, and it has made me realise it is time to upgrade the bass :DOne of my earliest Patch Projects was to set up an Eddie Van Halen style patch - using the CE-1 Chorus, Flanger, and Script Phaser (FX1-FX3], as well as the Guv'nor / GUV DS Distortion voicing as the main flavour of drive. Matt and Mark from Boss recommended using the CENTA OD also as a boost - in conjunction with the Guv'nor. While you definitely also need a Noise Suppressor, and having a follow-up EQ really helps you to tweak things just right.

View Product You’re not limited to just what’s onboard the GT-1000Core, however, as two send/return loops enable integration of external effects pedals directly into the internal signal chain, so you can add in your favourite fuzz, for example, and have the option of assigning it to one of the unit’s footswitches if desired.

Sharing the same roadworthy build as its larger sibling, the GT-1000 Core has three main footswitches, a set of five soft knobs for instant editing, a nice and clear display, plus a set of six buttons, output and select controls. You can easily toggle between Memory mode and Manual by pressing down on the middle and CTL 1 (right) footswitch simultaneously. For example, you could set the patch so you have your core sound, assign a boost to one switch, a delay to another, and maybe some fuzz for when a solo comes around. That mode might be better for you if you save the patches as songs in your setlist. Simply load up a patch for the song – effectively a whole new programmed pedalboard – and use those footswitches if you need to change effects mid-song. At its core, the GT-1000 harnesses BOSS’s breakthrough AIRD technology for previously unattained musical power. Based on the comprehensive Tube Logic concept behind the renowned Katana, Waza, Nextone, and Blues Cube amplifiers, AIRD takes the amp processor to a new level of performance, flexibility, and practical usability. MIDI (IN, OUT) connectors Power Supply AC adaptor Current Draw 1.2 A Accessories AC adaptor (PSB-1U + AC Cord Set) WITHIN THE PATCH: If you have one master patch, and you want to be able to change channels (or use the other function on the amp to turn reverb on/off for example), you can do this using Assigns (refer to USING ASSIGNS). Set the “TARGET” parameter to AMP CTL CTL1 or AMP CTL CTL2 and set the values and source as required.

X-DRIVE BASS*— a driven bass amp sound that has a wider dynamic range than traditional bass amps. The use of MDP technology results in excellent string separation and definition without sacrificing the body and thump of your core tone. This means that it sounds great for technical playing and extended range basses! Credit subject to status and affordability. Terms & Conditions Apply. Guitar Guitar Limited is a credit broker and is Authorised I set up the patch also with the Echo PX as the Master Delay, and the Plate as the Master Reverb - but had those selected as disabled largely - as I tend to use my Strymon Volante and NightSky for those purposes. Drag and drop ALL the files from the unzipped “gt1000_sys_vXYZ” folder into the GT-1000 drive. 4.After the file transfer is complete, unmount the GT-1000 drive and disconnect the USB cable. 5.“Execute update?” should appear on the GT-1000 screen. Press WRITE to carry out the update. 6.Once “update is complete” appears on screen, power down the unit. With 250 user patches available, there’s plenty of space to store your favourite sonic creations for almost any musical scenario. The impressive DSP engine delivers on-demand power for all available effects, so you’ll never worry about running out of processing while building sounds. A Fully-Fledged Studio Toolkit Nevertheless, there’s a lot you can do with three footswitches. There are two basic modes of operation for them, Memory and Manual, switched between by pressing the second (middle) and CTL 1 footswitch simultaneously. I of course would like a dry-signal pass-through / bypass which seems somewhat unlikely - therefore at least some sort of default Global Bypass/Standby option. For the purposes of this guide, all instructions are given assuming that you will be doing all of your patch creation directly using the GT-1000’s front panel interface. The GT-1000 is capable of both sending MIDI commands to control other MIDI capable pedals (such as the BOSS 500-Series pedals), and receiving MIDI commands so that it can be integrated into larger rigs and controlled by another MIDI controller.
