We've known since February 2022 that Through My Window was becoming a trilogy after the success of the first movie. Through My Window: Across the Sea arrived on June 23 as we saw Raquel tries to save her relationship with WiFi-stealer Ares Hidalgo, who is now studying abroad. The follow-up to the hit Spanish-language film is the first of two sequels in the works and features the return of several beloved cast members, including Clara Galle and Julio Peña, who will reprise their roles as Raquel and Ares, respectively. The second film will also welcome new cast members Andrea Chaparro , Iván Lapadula and Carla Tous as they join the previous ensemble of characters, including Artemis (Eric Masip), Apolo (Hugo Arbués), Claudia (Emilia Lazo), Daniela (Natalia Azahara) and Yoshi (Guillermo Lasheras). Many thanks to Netgalley, Wattpad, and Ariana Godoy for an advanced reader copy of Through My Window in exchange for an honest review. When could we see the Through My Windowsequels? There aren’t official release dates for the sequels yet, but the first sequel will obviously come out first. If production starts soon, we could be looking at an early 2023 release date for the first sequel. It shouldn’t take long for a film like this to be shot and edited. So I think there’s a good chance the first sequel could arrive on Netflix in early 2023. If not early next year, then sometime before the end of 2023.For the second sequel, we could possibly see it arrive on Netflix in 2024.During celebrations of the traditional night of San Juan, Raquel flirts with her classmate Gregory, but finally decides she doesn't want to do anything with him, as she is still very much in love with Ares. Simultaneously, Ares refuses Vera's advances, and implies during their conversation that maybe nothing happened between them after all. Raquel has a heartfelt conversation with her mother where she tells her not to follow in the footsteps of her father. Her father was a great writer but he never had the courage to publish his novel. She encourages her to cut all the drama and just tell Ares how she really feels about him. Raquel starts narrating the story of her life. In a classroom, we see her refusing to read her assignment as even though she knows how to write a story, she isn't brave enough to tell what she has written and throws it away instead. She then says that her story doesn't start in this classroom, it actually starts in her house. Her house, as she describes, is a humble abode that, through ups and downs, ended up surrounded by an empire called the Hidalgo mansion. The Hidalgos are her next-door neighbours, but their lifestyle is completely different from hers. The Hidalgos own Alpha 3, one of the most influential companies in the country, whose headquarters is the most spectacular building in Barcelona. Alpha 3 refers to the three heirs to the empire, the Hidalgo brothers, Artemis, Ares, and Apolo. Raquel has an unhealthy obsession with Ares but has never said a word to him. She knows everything he does and likes to collect information about him. He visto pelis pornos con mejores diálogos. She’s only got one goal―to become a psychologist. Well, that and to get Ares Hildago to notice her. Apolo Hidalgo is the youngest of the three Hidalgo brothers, a sweet boy full of good intentions: A good boy. Anyone would think that he would do well in love and in life, but will it be so? What if the girls he meets on his way don’t like nice guys? What if your good intentions and good heart are not enough? Boys can get their hearts broken too, and Apolo knows that better than anyone.

BUT YOSHI’S SPIRIT IS NOT DEAD. How, you may ask? Does he return as a ghost to watch her grieve by housing an entire pie on her kitchen floor? No! Before he croaked, he acted as Raquel’s quasi-agent and submitted her book to the publisher, who loved it so much it’ll probably eventually become the first movie of this franchise. She’s happy but also sad because she and Ares’ relationship is dead. Kaputskies. Never to schtup again. And get this: Raquel symbolizes things and shit by CLOSING HER WINDOW so he can never come through it. Oh man. That’s serious. Alpha 3 refers to the three heirs to the empire, the Hidalgo brothers, Artemis, Ares and Apolo. Raquel has an unhealthy obsession with Ares but has never said a word to him. She knows everything he does and likes to collect information about him. Raquel is madly and irrevocably in love with Ares, her attractive and mysterious neighbour. The thing is, she has watched him from afar because, much to her dismay, they haven’t exchanged a single word. But Raquel has a very clear mission: to make Ares fall in love with her. However, she is not an innocent, helpless girl and she is certainly not prepared to lose everything to achieve her goal, most importantly not herself… Things get complicated when we learn how petty both Raquel and Ares can be in their jealousies. There’s this guy Greg (Ivan Lapadula) who’s had eyes for Raquel all school year, and I think the thought crossed her mind that life might be better if she hooked up with this nice guy instead of pining across many miles for the arrogant richboy. And then there’s Vera (Andrea Chaparro), an old friend of Ares’ who arrives late for the party and seems to have spent a lot of time with him recently. She’s extra threatening because she’s bubbly and smart and confident and has known Ares for a long time. Meanwhile, Yoshi and some other characters have affairs and entanglements of their own, but do we give a good god damn about any of them? Nah. Through My Window: Across the Sea ending explained: Yoshi is furious and doesn’t let Ares speak to Raquel. They exchange words that lead to a fight where Yoshi pushes Ares into a partially empty pool, spilling chlorine into as he turns away. So Ares teases bookish Raquel until her inner Aphrodite emerges, then leaves her dangling. But she’s no mouse in the library. She stands up for herself until he puts his mouth on her and then she puddles on the floor right there in front of us. Then she reciprocates the tease and, before you know it, smash-o-rama, right there on his pool table. Raquel has a couple of friends, Daniela (Natalia Azahara), a party-hardy type, and Yoshi (Guillermo Lasheras), a lanky fella who wishes their friendship wasn’t so damn platonic. Soon enough, it may come to pass that the god walking here on the earth might have actual feelings, and the quiet writer girl may have enough substance within her to inspire him to share them. But as the wise man once said, IF ONLY IT WERE SO SIMPLE. Photo: Netflix
