Description

The biggest advantage that comes with the Kraken X53 isn’t improved, temps. Instead, this is a great cooler if you want less fan noise. The Aer P2 fans that come with the X53 are very quiet, even maxed out, and the pump itself makes much less noise at 100% output than the Wrath Prism and similar air coolers. The PC I installed the X53 in is situated in my living room, and I use it to game on my TV. I like to leave my computer on, and I noticed much less overall fan noise when I was watching a movie or TV show. The X-3 series refresh also marks a significant improvement with the RGB logo design. The infinite mirror logo on the X-2 series required you to mount the pump on your CPU in one direction only if you wanted it to be right-side up. With the X-3 series, the logo rotates so that you can mount the pump in four different orientations. This might not sound like a big deal, but depending on your motherboard layout, it can make the process of installation a lot easier. No more awkwardly trying to make sure your pump inlets don’t put pressure on your RAM or fighting the tubing to get the pump installed. NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler Review| Performance The most significant improvement the Kraken X53 features is the move to Asetek 7th generation pumps, which operate at 800-2,800 RPM. These new pumps allow for quieter operation over a broader range of speeds, giving Kraken owners the best of both worlds when it comes to noise reduction and performance. The NZXT Kraken X53 RGB is a computer cooling component that aids in maintaining optimal temperatures for CPU performance. It features a pump motor with adjustable speeds ranging from a minimum of 800 RPM to a maximum of 2800 RPM. With a pump voltage of 12 V and a pump current of 300 mA, it effectively circulates coolant throughout the system to dissipate heat. For Kraken M22, X42, X52, and X72 coolers, please connect a Mini USB (Mini-B) to USB Type-A cable from the USB port on the Kraken to any open USB Type-A port on your PC.

I installed the AIO into my venerable Corsair Vengeance C70 case which features the following cooling setup: If you notice any distortions in these colors, this can indicate that a particular channel is failing on the Kraken and would require the cooler to be replaced. For example, a failing Blue channel will cause White to appear as Yellow while a failing Green channel will cause White to appear as Magenta. I've confirmed my Kraken is either failing or defective, what do I do next? The Kraken X53 features a 240mm radiator cooled by two Aer P 120mm fans and is excellent for small-to-mid-sized cases. It doesn’t entirely give the cooling performance of its bigger brothers, the X63 (280mm) and X73 (360mm), but it allows for a lot more versatility when it comes to installation. Instead of being relegated to only a top mount, the X53 easily installs into the front (and even rear) of many popular PC cases. We applaud NZXT for their drive to get better and for their outlook into ways to distinguish their Kraken series from all of the various competitors! We can see where there are times the RGB environments do not play well with each other, and companies certainly benefit from creating an exclusive environment to control it. It makes sense. We have no issues with any of this, and it is the way it works in the real-world.

NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler Review| Performance

Fine nylon mesh sleeves strengthen the rubber tubing, providing durability and protection against mishandling. Adjust the orientation of the pump head to fit the needs of your motherboard without affecting the direction of the logo. The pump orientation can be changed in 30° increments to reduce interference with other components. Specification:

Keeps a 5800X cool as something cool but this is with an undervolt, once you figure out ur undervolt for ur 5800X it shouldnt peak 75C in the worst case, from my experience. Popular Now: Windows 11 can now open RAR, 7-Zip, and other compressed files natively... but there's a catch As predicted, I didn’t see a ton of improvement in CPU temps with the X53 over the Wrath Prism. My system idles at around 35C now and maxes out at 73-75C. That averages out to about 3 degrees cooler, which isn’t amazing but is decent for a 240mm AIO. NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler Review | Bottom Line Even without the previous complaints, we still haven't looked into the encroachment on the memory! Again, we feel like NZXT just glossed right over this. In a typical orientation, the cooler hits the memory, which is a deal-breaker as to the rules of what you do with a cooler! Asking why leads to more frustration! We are told to change the orientation, leaving only two options, as the USB cable also causes issues with the memory! For those with all of the memory slots filled, you have two choices of orientation, and you just get to deal with the wiring and make it work and look decent.Next come the fans, which in this instance is a pair of Aer P120 fans. These are 120mm by 26mm solutions, which range in speed from 500 to 2000 RPM, driving up to 73.11 CFM per fan! Static pressure is also relatively high at 2.93 mmH2O, and the noise levels are shown not to exceed 36 dBA. These fans spin on a fluid dynamic bearing, sipping power through the 4-pin PWM connections. The fans are said to last for 60,000 hours, which is nearly seven years of life, overextending the six-year warranty! If after completing the above steps your Kraken is either failing, defective, or you require further assistance then please reach out to our Customer Supportteam for further assistance. Please be sure to have the following information on hand, as this will be needed in the event that a Replacement Part or RMA(Return Merchandise Authorization) is necessary. Mine came damaged but this was just the fans, the AIO itself was fine. Had it over a year in 2 different PCs and it has served me well. Built with an aluminum radiator, the Kraken X53 RGB effectively transfers heat away from the CPU for optimal cooling. The radiator has dimensions of 123 millimeters in width and 275 millimeters in depth, providing a compact and efficient cooling solution. A 10% bigger LED ring allows for more vivid RGB. A rotatable top accommodates re-orienting the logo no matter the direction the cooler is installed. Better Control
