Then one day Amber is headhunted by the head of a majorly popular fashion house and all of a sudden Amberd dreams are coming true.

The ending was a definite high point, so much had been sacrificed and it all just sat perfectly with the rest of the story.

To me this book had a real ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ feeling. It was a good read and different than my normal reads. The romance wasn’t really what I hoped it would be, but in the end it was really good and perfect for Amber’s character. I did think this book was a bit too long when I was half way through. I think this book would have been just as good if a view parts were left out. When Issy's dad puts her forward for a sensational new reality TV show, no one expects her to actually be selected. With her family urging her to grab the opportunity with both hands, Issy suddenly finds herself surrounded by glamour, fame and celebrities. Full of excitement, Issy embraces it all - it's what she needs to do to achieve her goals. But when the reality of what she's signed up for doesn't match the dream Issy is chasing, things begin to fall apart. Issy is so close to getting everything she ever wanted - but just how much of herself will she have to sacrifice to get it? Daniel's family don't approve of the engagement and his sister is actively seeking to split them up. It must be difficult going into marriage knowing that the one set of parents aren't supportive. Three years ago Issy Jones walked away from her dream because her family needed her. Today, she spends her days working in her mum's salon and her nights going out with her best friend, Molly. Life is good yet Issy can't help wishing for something more .

Throughout the book it is told by the viewpoints of Lizzie and Bex Ashworth who are sisters. I loved the alternate viewpoints and it felt like I really got to know the characters more rather than it just being one sided. There are also the occasional chapters told from the viewpoint of Nicole Balfour, I also felt they added to the story however I wish we learnt more about Nicole. On the whole though, whether Pattison wrote this book single-handedly or employed the services of a ghost-writer, I thought this was a really great read, and I'm looking forward to reading more of her fiction work. This book is fun, a light hearted read, story of families coming together, sisterly drama, plenty of humour and a few twists and fireworks to make up the perfect wedding. The ending is just so cute, only Jay and his boyfriend was cuterrrrr!!! Like Jay gonna propose to him, I'm just, ahhh. Jay is the only character in the book who I would love to have a best friend as. He's so quirky, hilarious, supporting, a shoulder-to-cry-on, and I'd be vice-versa, which is what Lizzy had been.

I enjoyed the other characters but I felt we didn't get to know them as well as we should have, such as Jay and Lauren. It would have been good to have discovered more about them especially since they were the best friends of the sisters. Most of the book I enjoyed very much but it lost me a bit with some of the minor or secondary characters who I did not like nor believe in. The sisters themselves were a great duo. A lovely warming Christmas read. Full of sparkle, and love. I instantly liked Amber and found her a great main character. Amber is a sweet lovely girl with a heart of gold that makes a few mistakes like us all and had to make up for them. She loves her friends and family. She is guts and bulsey and a great main character. In fact it is a very enjoyable and entertaining story, focusing around the fashion industry and about what happens when you start to get a bit of press interest. These are clearly subjects that the author is going to know a lot about, and it does show in the way the story comes across.

Huge dramas between two families and cute romances along the way. The ending was a perfect end to the book, hence the title. (Okay now, hush, it was just a tiny spoiler). This is my first book read that I'm reading fully and I'm happy right now with it. Five stars, more romance and drama, here I come! :D From the moment I started reading this book I enjoyed it. Fashion isn’t really my thing, but reading about Amber’s life in London and her friends and adventures really made up for that. I loved getting a look inside Amber’s life. It was fun to read how she got to her ‘dream’ job and I especially loved getting to know Amber’s friends and family. Reading about those characters and the relationships they had with Amber were really the best part of the book if you ask me. My Final Verdict: Readers who like a happily ever after without any cliffhangers should grab this book. Additionally, readers who like romantic comedies or books that feature characters the reader immediately feels a bond with will enjoy this and, like me, wish they were part of the Ashworth family. I will be on the lookout for more of this author’s work and am hoping I will get to spend time with these characters again.

There is a lot of references to social media, fashion etc which will most definitely appeal/ relate to the YA readers. Shoppers demanded to know where the dress was from, with some saying they ‘need’ it in their wardrobe. One said: “Adore the striped dress,” with a second adding: “Where is your pastel stripe dress from in your 1st picture?” and another commenting: “Gorgeous. I need that first stripey dress.” Was expecting a fuzzy, cozy, heartwarming Christmas read today on the day of Christmas ~duh~. Couldn’t say this book was all of them but it was definitely worth the 2.5 hrs and def an above avrg book. Despite the fact this book really does contain a Christmas Kiss, the Christmas bit of the book is very small and right at the end, so I really would't worry about the title and you can easily read this book at any time of the year and enjoy it.

Three or four drinks,” her voiceover tells us over scenes of her downing about that number of limoncello shots as the night starts, “and I’m sociable, fun and I can function the next day. Any more and I don’t know when to stop. I’d go so far as to say I can’t stop.” As driven and ambitious as she is, she notes, it’s the one thing she can’t seem to control. Where the book lost me a bit was on some of the minor characters like Nicole who I just could not identify with at all. She just seemed far too fake and over the top for me - are people really like that? I hope not. I love my younger sister to pieces but I can see this story being one to Definetly relate too. Where families become strained due to choices in partnerships/ families. I loved the bond she has with her flatmates, Tom and Jess and I can imagine the fun times the threesome have had over the years. They like to have a good time but they also look out for each other too. I also liked the friendship she forms with assistant Freddie and her new boss Alessandro is such a sweetheart and is so much more than a boss and becomes a real mentor for Amber.

Besides the easy, relaxed vibe I got whilst reading this, I loved this book for many other reasons too. Mainly the amazing cast of characters! Issy Jones was the protagonist and I thought she was brilliantly written - she seemed very normal and down to earth, which is what she was supposed to be. I loved that she was flawed and had potholes in her personality - nobody wants to read about a perfect princess. Other stand out characters for me were Issy's fellow contestant and friends Lexi and Aaron, as well as her brother Zach! Mia was also a very interesting character, however whenever I would read about her I would instantly picture Gina Rio in my head (if you've ever watched the Channel 5 series of Big Brother UK you may recognise that name!) and that's not a bad thing as I loved her; Mia not so much. What really did surprise is that for a book featuring an aspiring fashion designer, and some models, there was very little details of what designs Amber is working on, so by the time there are fashion shows roll around, its hard to feel empathy with Amber's neves, as I really couldn't picture anything that was going to be featured on the catwalks. I love Ambers flat mates and friends Tom and Jess they are exactly the kind of friends a girl needs in her life as they are there for her throughout and they all have lots of fun and happy times together.
