Then, there is the cost difference. The Jabra Evolve2 65 is more than double the MS Modern Wireless Headset. Despite the fit issues, I don't feel the Jabra are worth double. I've been evaluating a few different wireless solutions to use with Teams and decided on the MS Modern Wireless Headset. I've tried the Jabra Evolve2 65 and the Jabra Elite 65t (paired with the Jabra link 380 that comes with the Evolve2 65). We're here to help you on 1300 889 728, whether you need a hand choosing the right headset or shopping online with us. Our friendly customer service team is available from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (AEST). The MS headset also looks a bit more professional to me, if that is important to you. It sits closer to my head than the Jabra and is slightly smaller. Jabra have really gone all out on this new series of headsets. They have developed a new 'chipset' to support the new features and outstanding audio, the materials used also ensure that the look and feel of the Evolve2s is really high end.

The Evolve2 65’s 40mm drivers reproduce audio very cleanly. The headset excels in the mid and upper ranges, which is where they do most of their work during calls and conversations. I had no issues making out what my colleagues were saying as we spoke over the headset. The mic's sound quality is good for video calls, although I found it too sensitive in outside environments. I appreciate the Evolve2 65 Flex wasn't designed for calls in bustling outdoor settings, but I would've appreciated a bit better performance here; after all, hybrid working involves people performing tasks on the go. You'll get the professional sound quality both ways for your calls AND Jabra have levelled up the Evolve2s with powerful speakers so you can really enjoy your music whilst you work. The Jabra Evolve2 65 is a Bluetooth headset designed with professional use in mind. It’s part of Jabra’s new Evolve2 range, which has seen the company re-engineer and refine its successful Evolve Series. The series features in-ear, on-ear and over-ear headsets that are compatible with the full gamut of office hardware and cater for office workers whatever their communication needs. The on-ear Evolve2 65 is the series’ mid-range option – also part of the latest generation of releases are the Evolve2 40, which is essentially the same headset as the Evolve2 65 but isn’t Bluetooth compatible, and the premium, active noise cancelling Evolve2 85. The Evolve2 85 isn’t only considerably more expensive, but it’s an over-ear rather than on-ear headset and offers active noise cancellation to cut out ambient office sound. What do you get for the money? It only takes 90 minutes to fully charge the device with the charging stand providing a staggering eight hours of use with a 15-minute charge. Note that there’s no ANC (active noise cancellation) with Jabra opting for passive noise cancellation (PNC) instead.Echo cancellation, Enhanced (DSP) Digital Sound Processing, HD Audio, Noise protection, Peakstop Protection, Stereo sound, Wideband Audio, Wideband mic One issue we encountered was when trying to connect with a second device, swapping between a Windows laptop and an Android device. The process would sometimes fail despite being in range and previously paired with the only option being to restart the pairing process. Anyhow, you can certainly improve the sound quality of your virtual meeting with the Evolve2 65 Flex, not least because the microphone is right next to your mouth, unlike when you use your laptop's built-in microphone.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 are excellent noise-cancelling folding headphones with fewer extra features than the Evolve2 65 Flex can offer, but Bose' crowd-pleasing sound is hard not to recommend, even though the cans cost more or less the same as the Jabra. Read Yasmine's full Bose QuietComfort 45 review. You can also customise the level of Active Noise Cancelling using the slider in the app. I often go with the strongest ANC setting, especially while I'm in the office, as there are some people there who talk all day, and since I spend most of my day trying to write, it can be distracting. You can turn it down, though, if you wish. I also tried using the Jabra Elite 65t paired to the Jabra link 380 that comes with the Evolve2 65. This is probably not "officially" supported by Jabra, but you can an official Teams certified version of the 65t that includes the Jabra link (that seems very very expensive to me, though so I thought I would try this set up). INDUSTRY-LEADING BATTERY LIFE – The Evolve2 65 telework headset provides up to 37 hours of battery life on a single charge; With a 15-minute charge giving you up to 8 hours of use, they’re on-ear headphones built to keep pace with your busy schedule Both are light and should be comfortable for most people to wear for extended meetings. But, I have a real problem with the fit of the Jabra. They do not sit well on my ears, and tend to turn in. This causes the mic to touch my face or glasses when lowering it. The Jabra headset does also not feel solid on my head, causing me to hold it on top when moving the mic up or down. I haven't had any problems with it, but the Jabra mic feels flimsy compared to the MS Modern Wireless Headset. The MS headset fits me perfectly, feels light, and rests on my ears at a perfect angle. The MS Modern Wireless Headset has many of the same features as the Jabra Evolve2 65 - status light on the usb receiver, raise mic to mute, on device controls for mute and volume. Music so good, you can feel it. We’ve built this headset with powerful leak‐tolerant 40mm speakers and powered it with our most advanced digital chipset ever. With Evolve, we brought you great music while you work. With Evolve2, we’re taking audio quality to a whole new level. It’s a professional headset, but not as you know it. Full charge Get 37 hours battery life in 90 minutes. Fast charge Get 8 hours battery life in 15 minutes I was slightly concerned initially that over-ear headphones won't provide enough noise cancellation and would become uncomfortably warm to wear after short use, but the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex proved me wrong. This hybrid working headset offers excellent sound quality, comfort, active noise cancelling, and more for a reasonable amount of money. Battery for days. Whether you’re in and out of meetings, walking the corridors or working remotely, it’s good to know your headset can handle the pace. Our advanced battery efficiency technology and that incredible little chipset have helped us to squeeze an industry‐leading 37 hours* of juice out of this powerful wireless headset. But we’ve got you covered with the handy charging stand as well, just in case.

The headset uses Jabra’s universal audio app, Sound+, that can be used to update the Evolve2 65 to the latest firmware (it did during our test) and has some nifty features like being able to locate your Jabra accessory and tweaking the device; there are also five EQ levels should you want to personalize your audio experience even more. Dragon Naturally Speaking, MS Teams CERTIFIED, Skype, Unified Communications, Voice Recognition Software, Windows, Skype For Business, MS Teams Compatible, Zoom Compatible I imagine these corporate-first headphones won't be the number one choice for non-office workers, and for them, I'd probably recommend the Jabra 45h instead because of the lower price point. However, the Evolve2 65 Flex folds down to a more compact size than the Jabra 45h and also has a better microphone, so if portability and call quality are high on your priority list, choose the former. Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex review: also consider

De Evolve2 modellen met Microsoft Teams-certificering ondersteunen Microsoft Teams als een plug-and-play-ervaring. De plug-and-play-ervaring biedt de volgende voordelen: PASSIVE NOISE CANCELLATION – Jabra Evolve2 65 wireless headphones feature superior passive noise cancellation thanks to the enhanced memory foam padding and new angled design that cancels 48% more of the noise around you. Outstanding outcomes require outstanding call performance, and seamless, professional audio makes all the difference. We took the incredible call performance of our world‐leading Evolve Series and we made it even better, building in three strategically placed powerful professional microphones and adding our advanced digital chipset and latest signal processing technology. The result is outstanding call quality, every time. The battery on the Jabra Evolve2 65 will last longer, but the MS headset will easily get through 2 days for me. The Jabra has many setting in the Jabra Direct app, while there is nothing to adjust for the MS headset. The MS headset doesn't have the Sidetalk feature of the Jabra (where you can hear yourself a bit). That is fine for me because the MS headset doesn't completely isolate hearing for me - the ear cups let a little outside sound in so I can hear myself talking.
