Avoid using fabric softener and never use it on shell garments or other water-repellent clothing, as this clogs the pores of the fabric and impairs breathability. All garments with DWR treatment should be tumble dried on low heat for reactivation, while other garments should not be tumble dried. This is to protect the environment and save energy. Try to wipe off dirt and mud instead of washing the garment. Never iron the garment, as functional materials are sensitive to heat.

Nordwand Pro Zip-Off is fully-equipped outdoor pants with detachable legs. Stretch panels in knee-areas, around seat and in hips provide great comfort and ventilation. The removable legs comes in handy when the temperature is rising and you want to use them as shorts. Nordwand Zip-off is multifunctional and suited for activities like hiking, traveling, mountain biking, dog training, climbing and many more. Although weatherproof to a point, these walking trousers are water repellent rather than waterproof, so hikers heading out into driech conditions would need to add a waterproof layer over the top.
