You agree that it would be a shame to somewhat ruin your stay in Rome by ending up in a not-so-great hotel that costed you a fortune, right? 😅 Hi Daly, I think it really depends on what you want to see! I usually don’t recommend seeing lots of cities in a short period of time but if you’re interested in a day trip I would do a one-day trip to Umbria. It’s spectacular, close to Rome, and marvellous in springtime (Assisi is a must-see). Otherwise you could stay in Rome and explore the surrounding towns like the Castelli Romani, Lake Bracciano, and do that as a day trip, which I also recommend and I’m sure the kids would love. 🙂 Lunch: Stop by for lunch at either Trattoria Da Teo, Trattoria Da Enzo, Ai Bozzi da Giovanni or Osteria Le Mani in Pasta to taste some of the best Roman cuisine ever in Trastevere. Make sure to reserve! Explore the Borghese Gallery, the Coppedè neighbourhood and the Parioli neighbourhood. What to see in Rome: Remember to wear comfortable shoes for exploring this charming village and the surrounding nature. Castel Gandolfo Option 3: Discover the Amalfi Coast

Coppedè Neighbourhood: After lunch, either walk or take the tram from Viale Liegi to Piazza Buenos Aires and walk to Piazza Mincio in the Coppedè neighbourhood – located outside of the center, near Viale Regina Margherita alongside the upscale Parioli in the Trieste neighbourhood. Lovers of Art Nouveau will find Rome’s best examples in this small neighbourhood, whose palazzi have all been designed by architect Gino Coppedè between 1913 and 1927. The main character is very observant, almost to the point of being critical, in my opinion. She seemed to overanalyze every conversation, make assumptions about everyone’s motives, scrutinize every encounter. To me, it felt like she was being a know-it-all. I wanted to scream at her, “Just let it be!” There is no escaping that this is a beautifully written book. This is a book that makes you pause and ponder, it is character based and one hundred percent reflective. I have many highlights that I will return to and contemplate. There is much on offer here to encourage you to spend Six Days in Rome. Any other solo traveller would like to hangout, im welcome to be your travel pal. Im coming from Australia and will be flying to Italy from 18th April till 2nd May. Hmu 🙂 I book my day trip to Tivoli now! I want to visit Tivoli from Rome Villa d’Este Tivoli Option 2: Explore Castel GandolfoThe volcanic debris preserved the city in its state at the time of the disaster, thus offering a snapshot of Roman life during ancient times. Keyhole of the Knights of Malta: Just 350 meters from Il Giardino degli Aranci, you’ll find the famous Headquarters of the Knights of Malta, known for the jaw-dropping view of St. Peter’s Basilica you get from peeking into the keyhole. Just know that you’ll find a long line of people here. Your final stop of the day will be Villa Borghese, a large landscape garden containing several buildings, museums, attractions, as well as the Borghese Gallery.

I book my day trip to Civita di Bagnoregio now! I want to visit Civita di Bagnoregio from Rome Civita di Bagnoregio Designed by Michelangelo, this enchanting square is surrounded by three palaces: Palazzo dei Senatori, Palazzo dei Conservatori, and Palazzo Nuovo. While you’re there, keep the Bernini party going! Make sure to catch The Rape of Persephone and his interpretation of David. 1. The Capitoline Wolf While the location can get crowded, your visit to the Trevi Fountain will be well worth it. Make sure you throw a coin into the fountain, which, according to tradition, ensures that you’ll return to Rome in the future. Trevi Fountain Rome D. Via del Corso / Via CondottiAfter the Sistine experience, you are free for the rest of the afternoon to do some shopping or go ahead with more sightseeing in the City. For dinner, on your last night in Rome, I would recommend the Ristorante da Pancrazio with its authentic Italian cuisine. It is located in Piazza del Biscione 92. It is built over the ruins of the Theatre of Pompey. The basement therefore offers the most sought-after seats, because people want to actually dine in the old theatre. It is said that this was the place where Brutus did Julius Caesar, in. Many historians think it happened at the rear of the Curia, not too far away from the restaurant. The debate goes on. “Buon Apetito!” Day 6 – Departure I would take the B line to Colosseum, Take a look from the outside, walk along the outside of the forum (i think it is Clivio argenartio st) area without going inside towards Capitoline Hill . You can actually see alot from the outside. The spa’s Alchemy Bar will have a range of natural ingredients you can use to mix your own shampoos, body washes, scrubs and more. Pet‐friendly
