The USB-C plug will put out a total of 45 Watts which is enough to power my 15” Dell Inspiron Laptop. This is also enough for the Dell XPS 13” or the MacBook Air, but it’s not enough power for larger models or laptops that require more power like the MacBook Pro. Sometimes on your travels you will experience older buildings, with well-used, loose, or awkwardly placed outlets. The PowerPort works fine for plugging it into the international outlets I’ve tried it in so far, but you could run into problems because of the size and shape. Weight is Positioned Away From Outlet Opt for a compact adapter: Gadgets such as Anker products are easy to carry and convenient. When it comes to travel adapters size will define the number of regions that the charger can be used for. The smaller ones are generally limited to one region. This is okay if you wish to travel to only one place. But an adapter that works across all countries is a better choice if you travel frequently to different places. These other two USB-A plugs provide the rest of the 20 watts of power. They can put out a max power of 5V at 2.4 amps each (12W). But if you plug a second device into the other port, the total power will be split evenly between them. Plugs Compatible With Anker PowerPort 3 Three Major Adapter Plugs If you need fewer plugs, but more power, the 2-Port model is the same size and a lower total power output. But it has a higher per-device power output, and can charge one device the entire 60W (the 3-Port only puts out 45W max). The model you choose will depend on your power requirements for your laptop. The major plug type not covered by the PowerPort 3 is the “I” type. Which covers Australia, New Zealand, and some islands in the South Pacific. Usually adapters will have the ability to twist the “A” plug, but Anker doesn’t provide that option, meaning you can’t use it in these areas. Adapter Attachments CARD 4-Pro Includes Plugs in a Single Unit Our 6-point safety system features short-circuit protection, fire resistance, grounded protection, and more to ensure safety for you and your devices. One thing to look out for in travel adapters is whether or not they support earth pins. While 3-pin plugs are the standard in the UK, elsewhere in the world they’re used less often or not at all. Connector Compatibility: Determine the connector types you need, such as a USB-C adapter for most modern smartphones and laptops. If you want to mirror your phone or laptop to large displays at work or for gaming, consider DisplayPort or HDMI to USB adapters for TVs. Anker 518 USB-C Adapter (8K DisplayPort)or 518 USB-C Adapter (8K HDMI)can be your go-to options, as they can virtually plug into any USB-C device with support for DisplayPort Alt Mode and connect to a wide range of TVs, monitors, and projectors.

There are 15 plug types in use across the world. Type A and Type B are used in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Japan; Type C is common across Europe, South America, and Asia; Type E and Type F are found across Europe in places like Germany, Russia, and France; Type G is used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and a handful of other places; and Type I is used in Australia, New Zealand, China, and Argentina. Universal adapters tend to cover all of these types.Instead of having the plugs together in one unit Like some travel adapters, the PowerPort 3 has three separate attachments that you switch out depending on which one you need. When choosing a USB adapter, consider the following factors based on your specific needs and devices: Zendure's all-in-one travel adapter is what I toss in my bag first for every trip. It has a boxy design with sliding toggles to switch between US, European, and British plugs. (It covers more than 200 countries.) There’s an auto-resetting fuse to protect your gadgets from power surges, and the Passport III has a 10 amp limit. The latest version also sports a funky, translucent design with a metallic finish (purple is best). Sadly, there's no grounding, so you shouldn't use this adapter with any device that has a third metal grounding pin on its plug. The Anker PowerPort 3 is a great little travel adapter from a company with a great reputation for making high quality electronics. It has an enough plugs and power output for most travelers to use this as a single adapter for most of their electronics. There are currently two versions of this charger, both only available in white. The version I have is the 3-Port. It’s about the size, weight and shape of a MacBook Charger at 3.0″ x 2.8″ x 1.2″. And with the US plug installed, it weighs 5.8 oz, or 164 grams. Output Plugs and Wattage 3 USB Ports on Anker PowerPort 3

It can replace both your laptop charge cord and your travel adapter if your laptop takes 45W or less power. If you use multiple USB-C Devices or have a laptop that takes up to 60W. Then you should go with the 2-port version of the PowerPort. Cons As this is not a voltage converter, your devices must support 100V-240V wide voltage for use with this adapter. Single voltage devices such as hair dryers, electric razors, and electric toothbrushes are not compatible. Whether traveling to Germany, France, Spain, Russia, or a wide range of other places, your next trip just got a whole lot easier. With the built-in European (Type E/F) plug, you’ll be able to charge devices effortlessly wherever you are.

The good thing about this setup is if you’re only visiting one area, then you don’t need to take all the attachments. The bad thing is that by being separate you have the potential to lose these. Plugging Into the Wall Anker PowerPort 3 in Type “G” Plug Build Quality and Durability:Look for adapters made with robust materials and connectors that provide a secure fit.
