This is one of the best new datasheets that GW have put out in ages, to an extent that is going to warp army construction and this book around it. As a Sanctified HQ with the Supreme Commander keyword, there are multiple angles to trivially slot her into any Sororitas list, and vanishingly few reasons why you ever wouldn’t even at her 265pts price tag. The fearsome Dogmatas uphold righteousness among their fellow Sisters, and while we’ve seen just why their allies fear and respect them in equal measure, it’s worth knowing that their enemies have just as much reason to stay away from these exceptional warriors. Warhammer Community: Warhammer Preview Online – The Dead and the Divine (Posted on 23/01/2021) (Last accessed on 23 January 2021)

The options available in this kit lead to more questions than answers. It is pretty clear this kit's rules changed extensively between their original sculpting and their final codex datasheet. The models all have pistols, in spite of their vehicle keyword making them completely irrelevant. There is an optional sword upgrade for the superior that is completely absent in the datasheet itself, and the superior model has a secondary regular build option that suggests they were at some point a 3-6 unit option. Their extremely high cost on release suggest this unit performed very very well in early testing, and received a few nerfs before its release. If they had been a 3-6 infantry unit, their original 240 point base cost may have been justified.GW has been adding a bunch of new minis to the line, and we’ve even seen some new datasheets as well, so we have some idea what the rules will look like. But like with all the preview rules, we don’t know how everything will fit together quite yet… so don’t get mad if your favorite units don’t seem as strong. Everything We Know: New Sisters of Battle 40k Rules While all the sisters are dogmatic, a mini called the Dogmata really takes it to the next level! The mini itself is fairly simple but very cool looking and should be a fun addition to the faction. When an even greater defensive wall is needed, look no further than the shield-carrying Celestian Sacresants and their Ecclesiarchal comrades in the Crusaders. Both blessed with powerful shields and trained to hold the line at any cost, using Inviolate Shieldwall will see bullets, bolts, and las blasts peel off them like rainwater. Free Sisters of Battle Mini & New Coin From Games Workshop If the weapon has the Poison keyword, it procs on unmodified wound rolls so the bonus is only towards damage. This also applies to the auto-wound effect of haywire blasters.

The suit itself plays host to a destructive missile launcher of the sort usually found only on much larger vehicles, while the Abbess strikes down her enemies with a gigantic relic power spear named the Lance of Illumination. New 40k rules for the Sisters of Battle Paragon Warsuit, Dogmata, and Celestian Sacresant makes purging heretics easier than before! As standard, there’s six Warlord traits on offer here, and while the names are all the same there’s a reasonable number of changes on offer. The Dogmata is a heavy melee unit, particularly suited to capturing objectives, while the Palatine, first arriving in the Piety and Pain battlebox, will be released as a standalone model alongside the new codex. The fight last effect is a little less powerful following the recent FAQs, but the Miraculous ability is pretty powerful – it’s only once per game, but if you can get it off at a key moment against the right target it’s a valuable effect.

First and probably most importantly if you are a current Sisters player – Embodied Prophecy, Holy Rage, and Deadly Descent have all taken substantial changes, and Storm of Retribution is completely gone. Storm is a one-two punch for Retributors, as we’ll see in the datasheets section, substantially depowering one of the last book’s premier units. The Missionary gets more of a change, because as a Priest his old Aura is gone and replaced with Hymns of Battle, of which he knows one alongside the default War Hymn. While loss of the +1A aura stings, he’s still dirt cheap at 40pts (or 45 with the power maul he can now take) and feels like a very plausible include alongside Vahl if you want to build a Battalion. That’s especially true because, while you probably take a Dialogus or a Dogmata as your primary priest, having a spare War Hymn caster is going to be extremely valuable in a melee-focused list as it lets you use Fiery Conviction to buff up a unit after it jumps out of a transport. Not mandatory, but definitely a model with uses. Troops Battle Sisters Warhammer Community just unveiled a bunch of new rules for the Adepta Sororitas ahead of the upcoming codex. If you have been waiting with bated breath for the new book, you don’t have much longer to go now! Time To Purge With These Sacresant & Paragon Warsuit 40k Rules On the tabletop, if Aestred Thurga plants her sacred standard at the right place and time, the tide of a battle can be turned in an instant. These holy Sisters also serve as great additions to a Crusade force. Not only do they fit in thematically, but they come with a pair of abilities that interact well with the bespoke Adepta Sororitas Crusade rules in the new codex. Whether you’re a player or a painter, they’re perfect for your collection. Dogmata The Castigator differs from its Adeptus Astartes equivalent in that it also sports a third, hull-mounted heavy bolter and either a twin-barreled autocannon or battle cannon as its turret weapon. That’s some serious firepower right there. Heretics – you’ve been warned!
