Poundland is to open a new store in Huddersfield on Saturday, 4 December, with 14 new jobs created. The new store, at Unit 2A Great Northern Retail Park, Leeds Road, was formerly occupied by Mothercare. With wide aisles and belted tills, the Great Northern Retail Park store has been designed to give Poundland customers maximum convenience. It will employ 28 staff with 14 colleagues transferring from the New Street store in Huddersfield town centre which will close on Friday, 26 November because the lease has expired. It will offer a wide range of PEP&CO clothing for the whole family, including womenswear, from jeggings to dresses, menswear, from polo tops to jeans, and kids’ clothing from PJs to school wear.

The Poundland in Victoria Lane, Huddersfield, remains open as usual to serve customers in the town centre. They will enjoy the benefits of the remarkable rollout of PEP&CO which has become one of the top 20 clothing retailers in the UK, just six years after the clothing brand was born.
