Description

MicroMagnets are available as a 432 piece set and a 1728 piece set. The larger set includes the Magnetic Field Viewing card and a metal building platform. Both sets include an instruction manual with a building guide to get you started making your desktop art. Note: The 432 set includes a thin card for splitting magnets, but it does not show the magnetic field. It’s easy to forget that a grouping of these orbs is more than just a cool shape; it’s also a complex interplay among magnetic fields. The included Magnetic Field Viewer (1728 set only) shows you the polarity of your MicroMagnets, creating fascinating silhouettes when held up to your geometric creations. However you play, you’ll grow addicted to the sensation of the hundreds of tiny metal massagers running across your fingers.

You’ll be amazed how much entertainment you can get out of these itty bitty magnets. You can craft interesting geometric shapes by precisely placing each magnet to create a three-dimensional figure. Or for those of us without that kind of patience, blissfully knead clumps of MicroMagnets to form abstract shapes and release your stress. Answer: MicroMagnets, like any small magnet, are only dangerous if swallowed. These magnets are designed to minimize harm when ingested, but they should still be kept away from small children and never put in anyone’s mouth. For that reason, the recommended age is 14 and up. Oh, and did we mention the hilarious fun you'll have as you unbox your Micro Fidgetz? It's like opening a treasure chest filled with joy, surprise, and just a pinch of mischief. You'll find yourself gasping with delight, squealing with excitement, and possibly even dancing around your room, celebrating your newfound miniature treasures.Remind students that a computing device has a number of inputs, and a number of outputs. The code that we write processes input by telling the micro:bit what to do when various events occur. Project See if you can combine a maker element similar to what you created in Lesson 1 by providing a holder for the micro:bit that holds it securely when you press one of the buttons. Add more inputs and more outputs - use more than 4 different types of input. Try to use other types of output (other than LEDs) such as sound!

A fidget cube is a little cube with something different that you can manipulate on each surface. There are buttons, switches, and dials, and people who like to “fidget” find it relaxing to push, pull, press, and play with it. In this project, students are challenged to turn the micro:bit into their very own “fidget cube”. With Micro Fidgetz, you can collect all 25 miniature fidget toys and become the ultimate fidget connoisseur. Will you uncover a pint-sized spinner that defies the laws of physics? Or perhaps a thumb-sized stress ball that magically relieves all your worries? The possibilities are as vast as the internet's endless memes!
