Description

X100V offers the ability to record 4K video up to 30 frames per second or capture 120 frames per second at 1080p to create super slow motion effects. Filmmakers needing extreme colour fidelity can record 10-bit, 4:2:2 colour externally via the HDMI port and leverage Fujifilm’s advanced colour reproduction technology, to apply Film Simulations, like ETERNA, to their video footage. Additionally, image makers can also incorporate numerous shooting functions, such as “monochromatic Color” and “Color Chrome Effect” to extend their creative visions directly to the footage being recorded. A Hybrid AF system has been employed which utilises TTL contrast AF and TTL phase detection AF for faster and more effective focusing abilities. AF, Continuous AF and MF modes are also available, with 256-zone metering for multi, spot, average and centre weighted areas. Automatic scene recognition has also been included, intelligently detecting lighting scenarios for more accurate colour temperature. Battery Life Standard IEEE 802.11b / g / n (standard wireless protocol). Encryption WEP / WPA / WPA2 mixed mode, Access mode, Infrastructure

Approx. 5.0fps (JPEG: 458 frames, Lossless compression RAW: 24 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 19 frames) I live in Montreal, Canada and weather can be harsh at times so having weather sealing is a great addition.

Our pre-production camera gallery started out with a dark, gray January, and our full-production gallery ends with quarantine. But we did get some nice photos here and there. Using the latest generation X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4, the X100V provides all creatives from professionals to everyday image makers with an easy to use, fully capable, and sophisticated tool that provides incredible image quality when shooting both stills and video. Mechanical + Electronic Shutter: P mode: 4sec. to 1/32000sec. A mode: 30sec. to 1/32000sec. S/M mode: 15min. to 1/32000sec. Bulb mode: up to 60min.. The analog inspired controls of the X100 Series give classic and intuitive control of the X100V. The use of dials for exposure compensation and shutter speed provide a hands-on experience and contribute considerably to making the image making process an enjoyable experience.

Mechanical Shutter Approx. 6.0fps (JPEG: 220 frames, Lossless compression RAW: 21 frames, Uncompressed RAW: 18 frames) It’s also possible to attach an optional AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protection filter to make the camera weather-resistant. We’re told that the camera is largely weather-resistant already, and it’s just the lens needs the extra protection. (Fujifilm says that making the lens weather resistant too would have made it too bulky for this camera’s slim design.) It was a bit of a disappointment, too, to find that the in-build ND filter appears to work only for stills photography and not for video. That's a shame because we were hoping to get some nice shallow focus footage with this camera.Shutter Speed Mechanical Shutter P mode: 4sec to 1/4000 A mode: 30sec to 1/4000 S/M mode: 15min to 1/4000 Bulb mode: up to 60min

The Nikon Zfc makes it onto this list thanks to the retro, vintage, classic styling, however, the internals are fully modern, with 4K video recording, a 20MP APS-C sensor, and access to Nikon’s Z-Mount lens range. However, it’s worth noting that very few APS-C (DX) Z-Mount lenses feature aperture control, so this is one aspect that could be missing if you choose the “wrong” lens. While not an X100V accessory, this book is a useful reference and learning aid for photographers of all levels. Photo editing is a vital part of the image-making process. Just as darkroom techniques were important skills to learn in the days of film, a clear understanding of post-processing is now key to getting the most out of your digital pictures. Easy to follow and accessible for readers of all levels of knowledge, The Digital Darkroom is the definitive guide to post-processing for users of Adobe Photoshop and Affinity Photo.
