Description

This trumpet comes with two acrylic mouthpieces, 3c and 5c, and is compatible with any other standard mouthpiece there is to fit your preference. Sturdier versions come with ABS plastic construction such as the Tromba TRP-YE, the Pampet Plastic Trumpet, and the Kaizer PLY-TRP-1000PL featured on our list. Appearance does matter The company also produces a tenor trombone, a unique double slide trombone and both a Bb and C trumpet (with a flugel rumoured to be on the horizon). All have made their mark worldwide - so little wonder we now have the Tromba cornet which utilises the same technological developments. You can decide whether you want a silver or gold finishing instead, to get that appearance confusion out of the way. In our opinion, a beginner should first use the list with a silver plated cornet with transposed Bb; a cornet with this specification is easier to play and commonly available.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. If things are to change then, the Tromba Bb cornet has a lot to do to make a lasting impression in more ways than one. The main tuning slide is easily replaced, whilst the first and third are interchangeable. The valves can swap places too – opened from the bottom. You will need to keep an eye on the springs not bouncing into the dark crevices of the settee, but there shouldn’t be any real reason why they need to be opened up. This part of the cornet goes into the mouth of the instrumentalist. It can come in both wide and narrow forms; a narrow rim aids the sound range played to extend to extreme notes, while a wider rim makes the player more comfortable playing this instrument. The Bb cornet is the most popular cornet choice for beginners, and it's a great instrument for any beginner wanting to take a step into the cornet family of instruments. Here at Dawkes we have a wide range of Bb cornets, with many choices for beginners. The Bb cornet within the brass band There is some restriction in the airflow with multi-valve combinations (low C#, D, Eb etc), but it isn’t too off-putting a problem.

One of the real (and annoying) problems with some of the plastic trumpets we have played has beenthe poor (and at times completely awful) intonation - especially in the lower register. The lightweight design helps younger players to start on the instrument without worrying about the weight and balance of a heavy brass instrument. The ergonomic shape promotes good posture and correct hand positioning allowing hands of all shapes and sizes find a comfortable grip on the instrument. The pCornet is also very reasonably priced- perfect as starter instrument or a second practice instrument for advanced and professional players to take with them anywhere! Education Up above the stave it even allows a young banzai show-off the chance to ping out a few eye-poppers without sounding like a wailing tom cat. Put under any sort of testing scrutiny, they simply failed to live up to their hype: Fun for a short while; but all too flimsy, untuneful and not worth the asking price.

Getting started in music has never been easier with the pCornet. Loved by all ages of players for its durability and comfortable design, the pCornet has opened up the world of brass to a whole new group of players. The versatile design of the pCornet also attracts existing brass players. Professionals and advanced players may decide to opt for a C trumpet as these are tunes higher and have a smaller body. Durability pCornet is less than half the weight of a brass trumpet due to the plastic material throughout the whole instrument, so it's ideal for the younger player and for all those who may have difficulty with the weight and balance. Its unrivaled price enables everyone to enjoy the quality of an equivalent metal instrument at a third of the cost. Happy in the hands of the world's seasoned professionals, pCornet is also the perfect starter instrument.

The Pampet Plastic Trumpet trumpet is an affordable and sturdy yet lightweight model that is definitely worth taking a look at. The unique plastic-metal combination design results in an instrument with a nearly authentic brass tone, making it the Best Sounding Plastic Trumpet on this list. It’s been a huge hit - and deservedly so; resulting in other makers (and a few blatant rip-offs) also entering the market place. As always we looked at our four main areas: Build Quality/Design; Intonation; Ease of blowing/Tone, and Overall Performance/Value for money.

The Cool Wind plastic trumpet comes with a simple and easy to use design. It’s sized like a regular trumpet for beginning users or young players to get accustomed to the feel of a more advanced model. Because it’s made of mostly plastic, the trumpet is more lightweight than a brass one and is easier on the wrists. There are enough colour schemes to send a chameleon into an identity crisis, and we especially liked the special metallic finishes (even gold!). They are a hoot. Kids will love ‘em.
