Nix, Lilley Street Farm, near Alfreton, WILL COVER THIS SEASON, At a Guinea and Half each Mare and Half-a-Crown the Groom…” The notice included the full ancestry of the colt, which won several times at York, Doncaster and Newmarket races. In 1835 the family moved across Alfreton to Outseats Farm, which was also owned by the Palmer-Morewood’s and was also predominantly a dairy farm.
