The Novo X is the latest and greatest in Smok’s long line of Novo pod vapes. The Novo X is a little different from previous Novo devices because it features a screen and wattage adjustment up to 25W — a first for a Novo device.

It still looks more or less the same but it’s a little bigger than previous devices and uses new 0.8Ω MTL pods. These pods are not compatible with the Novo 2 or Novo 3 and the Novo X is not compatible with Novo 2 or Novo 3 pods. So just recognize this: Only when your device has something wrong, then you can try to update your device. The Novo X retains the same 800mAh battery size as the Novo 2 and Novo 3. Battery life is pretty good though and I get about 2 days of solid vaping out of a full charge. Considering that this device is still small and compact, two days is respectable. This was at 22.5W too so if you use it at lower wattages you’re likely to get a little bit more battery out of it.

Although there is a power button on the front, the Novo X is a strictly draw-activated pod vape. You can turn it on or off by pressing the fire button five times, or change the wattage by pressing the power button twice and then pressing the fire button to increase the wattage in 0.5W increments. The big difference with the Novo X is the tiny screen and small power button on the front panel. The screen is extremely small but it’s bright and clear. The button is slightly recessed into the panel but still easy to interact with.
