That's why we've brought together everything you need to know about the established Chinese electronics brand, including the most recent models we've tested, new and upcoming models and what you can expect to pay for them. Overall, your choice of a TCL TV may come down to where you live. In the US there are plenty of TVs we’ve reviewed well, and TCL has built up an understanding of the market and what US viewers want from their televisions. TCL’s main advantage in the TV market is its aggressive pricing. It manufactures televisions at a large scale and has passed on a lot of those savings to consumers in a bid to win over a worldwide audience. If you’re looking for a cheap television that offers a lot for the price, TCL will often be a good bet – often for very large-sized televisions too. Much like TCL’s US side, TCL UK offers up a slew of budget TVs with different features at different price points. From 720p TVs to 4K Mini-LED sets that cost thousands, UK TCL TVs run the gamut as well.

More Apple than Android, Roku is customisable in appearance but part of its success is that it’s the same experience no matter your device. It has a clean UI that’s very straightforward to use. It rarely takes more than one guess to find the menu or setting you’re after but neither does it feel oversimplified. TCL's 2023models use Google TV 11, and theinterface is clean and pretty simple to navigate. It's divided into multiple rows, and each row presents content from different apps. These rows can be customized to your liking, as you can choose which apps are disabled and where. However, because there are so many rows, it can feel overwhelming, and it may take some time to fully navigate the interface if you're not used to it. This TV is 144hz VRR native: the highest standard in the TV industry and perfect for e-sport games and FPS.: smoother and seamless gameplay without any tearing. AMD Freesync premium for serious gamers with a fluid, tear-free gameplay experience at peak performance. TCL Game bar: never leave your game, see all gaming options and customize your experience. TCL TVs may not be the best for gamers, largely opting out of supporting features like VRR or 120Hz, but this is often the case across brands at this price. High-end gaming features usually come with higher-end price tags, while TCL TVs will have no trouble with casual gaming, especially if you’re still playing on PS4 or Xbox One. Settings can also be accessed from the remote, popping up a box with a few key settings (including Picture), but for the rest you have to press a second settings icon inside the first.

TCL 55 Inch TVs redefine the concept of an entertainment nexus. They serve as comprehensive hubs, connecting effortlessly to your devices, apps, and content-sharing platforms. Immerse yourself in an entertainment experience that's seamless and diverse. TCL's flagship set, the Mini LED-powered C845K is a truly impressive TV. It's the brand's highest-end model, offering flagship screen tech and specs to match. Built for gamers and movie fans alike, it utilises a Mini LED panel to deliver a dazzlingly bright and punchy picture. The C635K also runs the AiPQ 2.0 processor and is able to hit a peak brightness of 500 nits, which is actually slightly higher than the 450 nits the C645K is rated at. Like the two 2022 models above, the C635K runs the Android TV operating system rather than Google TV. The RS530K is available in either 32in or 40in and looks relatively similar in terms of specifications. It also has a 60Hz panel but the resolution is FHD (1,920 x 1,080) rather than UHD (3,840 x 2,160). Similarly, while there is support for the HDR10 and HLG formats, you don’t get the more advanced HDR10+ and Dolby Vision format support found with the RC630K.

Replaced the TCL 6 Series/R555 2022 QLED with the TCL QM8/QM850G QLED as the 'Best TCL TV' and refreshed the text for accuracy and consistency. As you make your way up TCL’s lines, TCL TVs will offer HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, gaming-focused features like ALLM and VRR, and even QLED panels. The 6-Series will even offer up Mini-LED support and 8K support, too. Unsurprisingly, the more features you want, the more money you’ll be spending.

It ought to be clarified that this is a review of TCL 55C645K for the UK market, which differs from what you get on the continent, chiefly in terms of the interface. UK owners get Android TV while those not of these isles plug into Google TV as the smart interface. The TCL 55C735K is available in a 55-inch size, providing an immersive viewing experience with its large screen. This size is ideal for medium to large-sized living rooms or entertainment spaces. However, TCL offers a range of size options for their QLED TVs, including smaller sizes for more compact environments or larger sizes for those seeking a truly cinematic experience. 4K Resolution The TCL 55C735K does not come with a separate One Connect Box. One Connect Box is a feature typically found in select Samsung TVs, where all the connections and inputs are consolidated into a separate box, which can be conveniently placed away from the TV. This setup allows for easier cable management and provides a cleaner and clutter-free installation. Accessories There’s certainly a big enough performance gap for another TV to sit between the Hisense and the Samsung, and we’re pleased to report that the TCL 55RP620K fills it perfectly. There is Apple AirPlay, and Apple HomeKit compatibility too. Some online specifications say it doesn’t have Chromecast built-in, but that would be mighty odd for a Google TV, and of course it does.

Always a Pleasurable Audio Experience

Experience precision at its finest with TCL 55 Inch TVs. Our dedication to detail ensures that each image is a masterpiece of clarity, bringing out subtleties that were once hidden. Immerse yourself in content that's presented with astonishing realism and depth. There is always a cost vs performance question to consider, as cheaper televisions almost inevitably mean a drop in quality from their more premium counterparts. The TCL 55C735K is a 55-inch QLED TV that combines impressive picture quality, advanced technology, and smart features to deliver an immersive viewing experience. With its sleek design and user-friendly interface, this TV is an excellent addition to any home entertainment setup. In this review, we will explore the key features and performance of the TCL 55C735K, including its technology, smart features, design, picture quality, sound quality, and remote control. Technology Step down to some 1080p content and this is a perfectly decent upscaler – as long as you don’t mind a little softness and rather less certainty with motion than before. Anything less information-rich than this, though, and the TCL isn’t comfortable in the slightest – it becomes quite coarse and noisy and loses its grip on movement quite badly. Sound Quality

As of their 2021 lineup, TCL started to include extra gaming features like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and VRR support on their higher-end models. Even their mid-range models now support 4k @ 144Hz gaming, which is great for gamers. We weren’t sure that TCL was going to be able to offer something so obviously worthwhile with its first Roku TV for the UK but it has absolutely nailed it. It might not be the AV equivalent of fine dining but it’s more sophisticated than the chips and gravy of Hisense’s even cheaper Roku TV – and just as tasty. The TCL 55C735K offers exceptional value for money. With its QLED technology, you get stunning visuals and vibrant colors. The smart features, including access to various streaming services and voice control functionality, enhance your entertainment options. The TV’s wall mount compatibility and calibration options further contribute to its versatility and customization. Considering its competitive pricing in relation to its performance and features, the TCL 55C735K provides an excellent balance between quality and affordability. Size Options

Other TCL sets, like the DP648 in the UK, use a much more basic Linux OS. Most new TCL TVs, though, come with the same Android OS – in an attempt to standardise across the board – which is a good all-rounder smart platform also used by Sony and Hisense. It’s worth noting that the TCL 55C735K is a 4K TV and does not offer 8K resolution. 8K resolution provides even greater detail and clarity than 4K, but it is a more advanced and relatively new technology. If you specifically desire 8K resolution, you may need to explore other TV models that offer this feature. HDR Technology TCL’s flagship Roku TVs have a lot of commonalities between them, each coming with a 60Hz refresh rate, Dolby Digital Plus audio, HDMI ARC (or eARC) connections, and typical features like VESA mounts and an included remote. At their core is the Roku OS – a portal to streaming apps – though you can opt for Android/Google versions of these TVs over Roku if you prefer.
