The corn is ground into cornmeal and then boiled in water. It’s a versatile food, appearing alongside a lot of southern breakfasts, but also with some savory dinner dishes. (Shrimp and grits. Try it and thank me later!) The pod has everything you need and more. The views are stunning and it is so quiet and private. Lots of lovely towns to visit in that area too. We had such a wonderful weekend.

A former mining village, it took its unusual name from the White Grit (or West Grit) Mine, [1] lead having been mined intermittently in the area since mediaeval times. Even so, it’s still not easy to taste the difference. It had everything you needed for a simple dinner or cooked breakfast. The hot tub was a treat, and the enclosed, sizeable garden was perfect for our dog to have sniff about and play. The touches of a bottle of prosecco, milk and television apps such as iplayer already being signed in were hugely appreciated. We absolutely loved it, the view in the morning was spectacular. The only thing we did struggle with was the hot water, we couldn't get the hang of it.

The view from the pods was incredible. There is plenty to do in the local area. The pod had everything we needed and more. I particularly loved the gated area around the pod. It meant we could relax knowing the dog was safe each time he went outside. Would highly recommend!! Had everything we needed for a chilled girls weekend. The hot tub was perfect and well maintained. The owner popped by and was very friendly and helpful. All the pods were perfectly spaced out and arranged so you didn’t feel like you were on top of each other. The location is great for relaxing and walking. The garden was 100% secure, which was great with the dog. Would definitely return and recommend. Other likely targets are cucumbers and cultivated mushrooms. When conditions are favourable – in houses or warm greenhouses – breeding can take place all year round. Our stay in Sunrise Pods facilities was amazing, beautiful accommodation with incredible views, lovely area, the pod itself was so cosy and clean, we had all the commodities we needed, we enjoyed our time there so much and would definitely consider staying there again!"

The pod was absolutely beautiful, such great facilities and actually a lot more space than I was expecting." We have just returned from a 5 night break in the Corndon pod in Shropshire where we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with our two dogs." Also, there are some other colors that people are experimenting with. Blue and lavender grits are made from blue corn, which also goes toward those blue corn chips which are becoming all the rage lately. Great feature having the fenced in garden too as we could let the dog roam without worrying where she would be. A lovely homely touch of brownies and Prosecco on arrival too. Would love to stay again! The most common property types available for sale in White Grit, SY5 are 4 bedroom detached houses and 3 bedroom bungalows. Having your own enclosed garden for our dog made us feel able to sit and relax in the hot tub looking over the hills. Angie is brilliant, able to communicate with her at any time - we opened the fridge to find milk and prosecco which was a lovely surprise. Would also recommend The Miners pub for pizza Wednesday's which was a short drive away. Would look through re-visit as a couple or with friends and book two pods. Had a lovely few days, thank you!

Always a friendly smile and wave. White Grit lies in the community of Church Stoke (the small parts in Shropshire are in the civil parishes of Chirbury with Brompton and Worthen with Shelve). There is a stone-built Methodist chapel in White Grit, no longer used as a place of worship, and a corrugated-iron chapel, both of which are marked on Ordnance Survey maps. The only thing I would say is the signs on the way in are very small so you really have to be on the lookout but other than that we had the most amazing weekend, thank youPlease note that for w/c 28/7/23, arrival on the Friday 28/7/23 can be accepted but regrettably arrival on Sat 29/7/23 cannot be accommodated for this particular week. One thing not really worth mentioning I would of liked to see a map of footpaths around the pods but with good internet it’s all on your phone anyway. Everything was perfect! You provided us with everything we needed and more! The views out the front were amazing, the walks behind the pod were enjoyed by us all, especially our dog. The hot tub was brilliant and perfect to relax in after a long trek. The pod was warm, cosy and clean and made for a super enjoyable stay. The brownies and Prosecco were such a lovely touch and put an extra layer of icing on an already perfect cake! Thank you. We will certainly look forward to a return visit. Enclosed space was so perfect for our dogs and the veiws were breathtaking. Everything we needed was included (prosecco was a lovely extra touch.) Hottub was perfect and the whole place was spotless. The location is so nice and quiet with stunning views to wake up to, perfect for a peaceful break! Hot tub was amazing, always clean and hot and well looked after every morning. We had such a lovely few days and will definitely be recommending to others!
