The Galaxy S8 is one of the first smartphones to support Bluetooth 5, supporting new capabilities such as connecting two wireless headphones to the device at once. As far as the display goes, all three tablets take advantage of sharp screens with fast 120Hz refresh rates, which should make scrolling and gaming feel noticeably smoother than standard 60Hz tablet screens.

And as more Android app support comes to both of those platforms, the need for devices like the Tab S8 Plus gets smaller. The Investor reported that Samsung would replace the affected devices if a software update did not fix the issue. Samsung stated that the Galaxy S8 was "built with an adaptive display that optimizes the color range, saturation, and sharpness depending on the environment", but noted that the device's operating system provides settings for manually adjusting the display's appearance and white balance. Samsung also has a third tablet in the Tab S8 line, the Ultra, that’s larger and more expensive — I’ve reviewed it separately here. Though this has become common among high-end phones, these are the first tablets I’ve seen that do not come with a charger in the box.

In the United States, the S8 and S8+ are available in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, and Arctic Silver color options, whereas gold and blue are available internationally. Furthermore, Google stated that more Samsung-exclusive features will be added to the app in the future, and that the Bixby assistant will also be supported by the app.
