Here at Golf Monthly we have a highly experienced team of testers who are fortunate to play a lot of golf in different conditions and who have all been working in the golf industry for many years. Some are better at the long game and off the tee; others excel on and around the greens. Certainly there is a lot of performance for your money, as the Soft Response provides great distance from iron downwards. Those with a fast swing speed will benefit from other models on the market but, if you swing your driver below 90mph, then it is very viable option for your golf game. We aim to test every ball model on the market as soon as it become available to us, putting in the hours out on the golf course, the practice ground, the short-game area and the putting green so we can get a feel for every ball's strengths and weaknesses from tee to green. Obviously we also put the balls through launch monitor testing and often attend product launches so we can have a better understanding of new technology. However it should be said no manufacturer can pay for a good review, we tell it how it is. How to choose golf balls In all, this is a fairly small gripe for what is a hugely impressive golf club set. TaylorMade has designed a 12-club line-up that we think has genuine mass appeal. For those not wanting to get fitted, but still looking for a quality set that will perform and look good, the TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite is undoubtedly one of the best golf club sets for beginners on the market. This is pretty rare when it comes to complete sets and allows you to swing the right shafts for your swing.

Easy to replace, the weights cannot move, but are simple to relocate or switch out if you need more weight in either the rear or hosel side of the driver. Here’s how TaylorMade described these upgraded wedges. “A classically shaped wedge with high-volume grooves designed for improved spin and control around the greens. A versatile C-grind sole allows the golfer to navigate a variety of conditions, from tight lies to bunker shots.” There are three loft options available with the D7 Driver. What’s great about each degree option is that Wilson has tailored each model to provide a different shot shape. The best premium golf ballscome in alternative versions that spin slightly less for players who prefer a firmer feel or more control off the tee. Try both from various distances to find your preference.I must say that it did feel and look good and gave me confidence when I was teeing off. Although when compared to TaylorMade SIM2 Max driver, It is not as forgiving, but it will still provide you with great results.

In this TaylorMade RBZ Driver review, we loved the construction of the club and the solid feel the driver had throughout the swing. The Wilson Staff D7 Driver provides a different feel and look when compared to the TaylorMade RBZ Driver. While the RBZ has a lower profile, the D7 offers more power and strength, great if you need extended distance off the tee box. The only downside of this set is that it doesn’t come with a sand wedge which is included in the TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite set. It’s nice to have them both in your golf bag especially when you are playing on a course with tight lies and bunkers.

The sweetspots on the clubs in this SGI set are large and forgiving, and the heads themselves inspire confidence. We found the irons in particular achieved this. Meanwhile, the wide sole of the sand wedge makes escaping bunkers far easier, which is an area of the game beginners can really struggle with. TaylorMade say that the 'Distance+ offers high-velocity performance for distance on all shots. Combining a REACT™ Speed Core and high-speed, low-drag aerodynamics, golfers will experience a golf ball designed for speed'. In our testing, the distance certainly matched a premium golf ball, with the results being plentiful.

New drivers are best served for golfers who are on the precipice of making that leap to the next tier. Whether it be a beginner looking to become a mid-handicapper or a mid-level golfer ready to get into the single-digit handicap tier, new equipment can create more forgiveness, more control, and better accuracy from your shots. Both men and women putters in this set come with Golf Pride TaylorMade Tour Rubber which are the same ones as used by Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. The color is also a design feature as these balls are available in three - white, purple and peach. Ultralight carbon fiber crown moves the center of gravity lower in the club head for increased launch angle There’s nothing flimsy about the RBZ, in that, you’ll feel completely comfortable with each tee shot as it delivers muscle to the golf ball. The F8 has an adjustable loft sleeve that can add or subtract loft from the club’s face to help the golfer alter their launch angle from the driver. There was noticeably more distance compared to woods with the same loft. The extra yardage might require a rethink at the top end of the bag to find consistent gapping. Although the ball flight was on the high side, a stiffer shaft option would have almost certainly helped resolve this. As a result, we lost a little carry distance (three yards in the 7-iron and 15 yards in the driver) versus our custom fitted clubs. However, for those golfers looking to get the ball up and away with a smooth swing, the regular shaft version we tested should do the job. If you find hitting your fairway woods difficult, or if you are struggling to hit your irons, these rescue clubs are a great addition to your bag. For the 9-degree driver, the weight is moved further up in the driver to provide more distance with a lower flight with less spin. With each successive driver loft, the weight is adjusted to help with carry and launch angle.

This high-launch 3-wood was a joy to use. The more lofted 17? version is more like a 4-wood in my book, but with so many driver loft options about, the fairways were always going to follow suit. The new sole design really helped the feel and performance, giving high and consistent flight. This product will fall nicely into a great line-up for TaylorMade in 2012. The highlight of the set is bladed sand wedge which is a great addition to the set and looks like one of the premium clubs. The mallet putter offers great feel and alignment features which is critical for those who want to improve their putting.

Although it doesn’t have adjustable features, the driver is forgiving, helping to keep your off-center hits along the target line. Most club sets come with oversized wedges that can be difficult to control. But with this wedge, you get a great feel and touch around the greens. Perfect for the beginning golfer who would like to upgrade their driver and enjoy features more commonly associated with elite drivers, the F8 is a dynamic club well worth the consideration. The simple answer here is yes. At the top end of the spectrum, TaylorMade golf balls are used by some of the world's best players like Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Collin Morikawa. Then the brand also makes models for every type of player, as well as every level. Importantly, whatever you are after from your golf ball, TaylorMade will offer a high-quality model.
