The sound is very good, but it goes up a level when you apply the extra tight-fitting option. The sound then reaches its high point whist also improving the passive noise isolation even more. There is an App that comes with the phones where the sound and Awareness mode can be adjusted to tailor it exactly to what you want. If there is one thing that you definitely need from headphones for the gym, it is that they are tough. These are that and more and with the option of changing the clamping tightness a good choice. But it is also a plus if they can be versatile.

Whichever colour you opt for, the textured fabric finish and hexagonal interior lining hint – albeit subtly – that these have been designed with sports in mind, though not so much that you’d ever feel self-conscious wearing them outside the gym. They have just about everything you will ever need except noise-canceling. But to be honest, that isn’t a big issue with over-ear phones. The natural position acts as noise-isolating, and that may well be enough. The passive cancellation is impressive. Add to this the Awareness mode, and you have a near-perfect setup. What mars the 6100’s performance compared to some of the more distinguished competition out there, however, is its generally low volume. Even at max volume, the sound that comes out of it isn’t anything ear-splitting. However, there seems to be a considerable amount of sound leakage when you put it on, so you might want to exercise some caution when blasting music from it in public. He doesn't get as much time to practice and play as he used to, but still manages (just about!) to fulfill all his session requests. According to Joseph, it just gets harder as you get older; you rely on what you learned decades ago and can play without thinking. Thankfully that's what most producers still want from him. Amidst the clatter of barbells and the thump of my gym’s mediocre workout playlist the Fit 6100s sound great even without any active noise cancellation, and the sound profile is surprisingly balanced, with only a slight lean towards the bassy end. Bluetooth 5.0 helps keep quality up over wireless, though there’s no AptX support to be found.I have this problem that just the left side stops working, the play/pause and volume controls works fine but the earpiece is dead. Any advice? (6 months use) The mic offers mediocre intelligibility. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 8, we could understand every word we recorded, but there were two issues. First, the typical Bluetooth fuzz distorts the mic a bit. More importantly, the mic signal is about as low as it gets—this may be the faintest signal we've heard on Bluetooth headphones. Conclusions The heights of high fidelity? No, not quite. But a fine, listenable and enjoyable performance? Absolutely.

In the 1960s, airline pilot’s headsets were so big and awkward that many pilots reverted to hand-held systems. Courtney Graham, a United Airlines pilot, got together with his friend Keith Larkin, also a pilot who worked for Japanese company Plane-Aids. They designed a small hearing aid like speaker system attached to a lightweight headband. The ear cups are quite large as they are an over-ear design and are quite solid in their build quality. They are a plain design with only the small PLT logo on view apart from a couple of control buttons. And they don’t look particularly sporty and resemble many other brands. They especially have the top of the range Sony look. If you are looking for fancy designs and stunning aesthetics, you’d better look elsewhere. They look quite ordinary and actually quite bulky. However, there is something very reassuring and mature about understated designs. When you get some kind of outrageous design, it usually sends the wrong message.

It is extremely hard to fix anything with this speakers, Plantronics service says it is not repairable, but... I can trot out that I have replaced one speaker from broken one my (green) with successful The 6100 seems to alleviate that issue with this cord. When secured, will exert resistance and tighten the headphones around your head when you start moving. It’s a simple but effective mechanic, though concerns may be raised about how long this thin band will last before it wears off and snaps after all that tightening.

Was there a solution at all? This has just happened to me too. And I’ve only used it twice. Can’t find the receipt. So frustrating. What a rubbish product!!!! The truly wireless age is in full swing in 2019. Sure, a lot of us still rely on the consistency of wired audio equipment, but with the improvements in Bluetooth technology over the years, the demand for more wireless peripherals has increased exponentially. Unlike other on-ear workout headphones that place a painful vice-grip atop your head, Plantronics’ headphones use a novel headband adjustment mechanism that temporarily tightens the fit when you need it. Once you’re done working out, you can release the tension cord and reattach it to the original position for a more comfortable fit.

The earcups provide a great deal of comfort, especially since the cushions are memory foam. What’s even better is that they’re sweat-resistant, thanks to the 6100’s IPX5 rating. It’s great for typical half-hour-to-hour-long sessions in the gym, performing your static workouts. The hexagonal pads under the band are not just padded for comfort, but also perforated to ensure your head stays cool. These are designed for exercise people. How do you use Plantronics BackBeat FIT 6100 controls?

No matter what we use, our headphones for the sound they give us is important. And some phones are set up to suit the environment they are designed for. These deliver on a number of fronts but rather surprisingly in one particular area, as we will go into soon. It's a minor thing, but a must for headphones you're supposed to carry around from work to the gym.
