As the seconds and minutes of the stopwatch are indicated on the sub register at 8, which is originally the second time zone dial of the watch, I’m curious what will happen after 24 minutes when the 24-hour scale of the dial ends. Here’s what happens; the stopwatch just stops at 24 minutes – it stops! 24 minutes… that’s all it does. 1/20 of a second accuracy nice, however only able to record times up to 24 minutes is hardly usable as a serious stopwatch. -3. The watch is very suitable if your looking to wear a watch which which won’t be mistaken as a serious instrument. Nothing dressy here, it’s boldness and professionalism all over. World Time: Lets you select from among approximately 300 cities as the World Time City, displays the current time in major cities and specific areas around the world. Spherical Glass: The surface of the watch glass is domed. This offers a high level of stability and resistance against pressure. Thermometer Function: A built-in temperature sensor measures the ambient temperature around the watch and displays it on the LCD, Measuring range: -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F); measuring unit: 0.1°C (0.2°F).After the mode pusher, starting the stopwatch is done by pressing the top-right pusher; no surprise here. The indication of seconds and minutes of the stopwatch is done in the sub-register at 8. However it takes quite a while before the hands in this sub-register have set to zero, so you can’t just set the function to ST and start the stopwatch; depending on where the little hands are in the sub-dial it’ll take quite some seconds before you’re able to operate the stopwatch. -1. Compass Function: 60 seconds of continuous measurement., A built-in direction sensor detects magnetic north displaying both this and your current direction on the watch face, Magnetic declination calibration, Measuring Range: 0 - 359 degrees, Measuring Unit: 1 degree. Positive. As mentioned there’s a sub-dial at 8 permanently indicating a second time zone in 24-hour format. This is a nice and functional feature; the watch has 40 time zones to choose from. Display Illumination: Auto Light: The watch face will illuminate automatically when you tilt your wrist towards you. Once activated, this feature will automatically deactivate after six hours, LED light, Selectable illumination duration (1.5 seconds or 3 seconds), With afterglow.

What a big, instrumental, mean but at the same time good-looking, as well extremely readable piece of machinery! It’s huge in diameter (56 mm) and hight (18,8 mm), the weight’s just fine (126 g). The strap seems long enough to fit two wrists, and certainly would fit over a flight-overall. Whatever functions it might further have, the time is readable under almost all lighting conditions. And even in pitch-dark a super bright auto LED light can be activated automatically as you turn the watch toward yourself. The luminous Neobrite material of the hands and 3D indexes provides long-term illumination in the dark after only a short exposure to light. Bluetooth Connectivity: Signal Range: Up to 2m (may differ depending on surrounding conditions), The watch can be wirelessly connected to a compatible smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The energy-saving technology enables access to a host of functions., Phone Finder, Mission Function on App records altitude data and route information. Solar means Powered by any light source, saving time and money as no battery change required- known as TOUGH SOLAR Can be charged by daylight on a window sill or by artificial light. A rough guide would be; Outdoor Sunlight - 5 minutes, Sunlight through window - 24 minutes, Cloudy Day through window - 48 minutes, Flourescent lights - 8 hours.Below I’ll mention a few remarkable details about the watch. And – after two years of ownership – I’m probably a bit better in advising where you would want to buy the watch for. And for which use you probably shouldn’t. That advice can be found here after as well. I had an appointment with Casio at Baselworld to be informed about the novelties for this year. I promise some pretty awesome stuff is coming up. Here’s a picture peek already, however of course I will do an extensive article here at Fratello Watches later on. Stay tuned.

Sunrise/Sunset Display: Sunrise and Sunset times are displayed for your chosen location. Ideal for planning outdoor activities. Then hopefully the large and quite voluminous time minute and/or hour hands are not anywhere between 6 and 9 at the dial, because in that case they will obstruct the stopwatch sub-register for a great deal, disabling you to functionally use the stopwatch. -2. Power Saving: The following operations are stopped to save power: all hand movement (excluding the day indicator), Bluetooth connection, if applicable and alarms. In need for a practical stopwatch or chronograph? Depends on the type of timing you’re looking for. The stopwatch’ indication of seconds and minutes is in the lower small register, and therefore not very easy readable. As well, the maximum time which the stopwatch is able to time is only 24 minutes. So for timing a 10 km run you’ll want another model. What to expect in the near future
