Description

Captain of the White Consuls Chapter, Vitrian Messinius is a veteran warrior and one of Guilliman's most trusted advisors. His power fist is an ancient relic of masterful craft and rare potency, gifted to him by the Avenging Son himself for honourable service. Few are as loyal to the Imperial Regent's vision as Messinius – as such, he is responsible for enacting the will of the primarch during the Indomitus Crusade, granted the rank of Lord Lieutenant within the Crusade Fleet and determined to see Guilliman's ambitions through.

And while re-rolls to hit and wound are much rarer now, Space Marines have more access to reflect their elite status – chiefly through the Oath of Moment faction ability . Your warriors may be few, but they’re terrifyingly efficient Angels of Death. Faction Rules Captain of the White Consuls Chapter, Vitrian Messinius is a veteran warrior and one of Guilliman’s most trusted advisors. His power fist is an ancient relic of masterful craft and rare potency, gifted to him by the Avenging Son himself for honourable service. Few are as loyal to the Imperial Regent’s vision as Messinius – as such, he is responsible for enacting the will of the primarch during the Indomitus Crusade, granted the rank of Lord Lieutenant within the Crusade Fleet and determined to see Guilliman’s ambitions through. The Title of the Series, Dawn of Fire, is also the name of the Flagship of Fleet Primus of the Indomitus-Crusade, which also serves as Guillimans Command-Ship. The Macragges Honour evidently hasn't been recovered yet. (It had a Sistership, the Embrace of Fire, which was the Flagship of Fleet Quintus, but that was destroyed by Sabotage) There's an entire Chapter dedicated to Cawl presenting the Primaris Marines for the first time. It containes a number of interesting bits:The Adeptus Astartes are well known for their ability to face any foe that the 41st Millennium can throw at them. From their twisted brothers and armoured and alien battlesuits to hordes of muscled fungal hooligans , there’s a Codex-approved weapons solution for just about any foe imaginable.

If Captain Messinius has a helmet, paint it white to match the armor. If he is assembled without one, paint his exposed head with a flesh-tone paint, such as Cadian Fleshtone or Kislev Flesh, to make it look realistic. Space Marines are organised into self-contained Chapters, which must be highly self-sufficient in the field. The standard doctrine of the Codex Astartes emphasises flexibility – as exemplified by the Gladius Task Force Detachment. This battle-tested formation is available to every Space Marine Chapter, whether they’re slavish adherents of the Codex Astartes or slightly more eccentric.* One important subplot of the Book is a low-level scribe trying to get a important message to Imperial High Command, that message is the one ultimately alerting Guilliman to the Pariah-NexusDark Mechanicum & the Traitor Legions sometimes make use of something called a "Warp-Field". This is a mix of Gellar-Field and Void-Shield, which has the bonus of no longer needing to switch between the two when entering or leaving the Warp, but is less stable and can result in a warp-rift when damaged. If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active. Primaris Marines in the Novel make use of both Drop-Pods and Thunderhawks. They can't use either on the TT.

See what the Warhammer Live team get up to with Captain Messinius and the second wave of Astra Militarum miniatures on Friday for another evening of Hang Out and Paint . Get your fill of Gaunt’s Ghosts with the first three novels, which are to be made available via Print on Demand. Dan Abnett’s First and Only, Ghostmaker and Necropolis cover the early days of Ibram Gaunt and the Tanith First and Only. They will be available for a short period. If the Tactical Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Assault Doctrine is now active. If you want a taste-test this bundle of short stories is a great way to commemorate the year and try out a few of the stories! Bad Loon Rising

Limited editions are always hard to get, especially one of a popular series like Dawn of Fire! Dawn of Fire: The Iron Kingdom its is mentioned several times that for the first few moments of true battle, the Primaris seem to react allmost robotically, on pure instinct. They aren't consciously making decisions, just following the training the Hypno-Indoctrination put into them. Only after the first engagement are they starting to actually be directly in controlA CHAPTER MASTER is excluded from the Company Command rule. This means a Detachment can include both one CHAPTER MASTER unit and one other CAPTAIN unit. Unusually the White Consuls have two Chapter Masters; one oversees the defences of the Chapter's home world of Sabatine and commands a standing force ready at a moment’s notice to respond to Chaos incursions through the Cadian Gate, and the other is responsible for the operations of the Chapter's forces in war zones further afield. It is doubtful that this is sanctioned by any entry in the Codex Astartes, and the reason it has never been challenged is the Chapter's homeworld's distance from Ultramar. [6] Also unusually the White Consuls seem to worship the Emperor as a god and seem to be part of the Imperial Cult, unlike most other Astartes Chapters. [5c]
