Description

The entire palace is centered around the hexagonal shape of a snowflake. A "flawless" staircase leads to double doors which can open by themselves into the palace. The first room has a beautiful frozen ice fountain, a small crystal hanging in the center of the roof and two curving staircases along the sides which join together on a platform above and across from the entrance. Another curving staircase branches off from the platform up into the "heart" of the palace. This is the room with a grand ice chandelier, Elsa's signature snowflake, and double doors which open to a round balcony. Upon reaching the palace, both Anna and Kristoff expressed their admiration of the structure; the ice harvester was especially impressed, remarking that he "might cry" and that the staircase leading to the palace was "flawless". However, Kristoff was disappointed upon hearing that he would have to wait outside before he could enter. There will be some more ice ledges above you that you can airstep to. Do this and you'll find yourself in the Middle Tier of the labyrinth. Go up the bridge into the next room and it's time for yet another fight with the ninja Nobodies. Once done, spin around the huge ice pillar.

According to production designer David Womersley, the palace "reflects Elsa's mood and shifting personality". [2] He states that when Elsa fled to the North Mountain and realized she was free to be herself, her initial reaction was "aggressive", but once she felt content, her ice and snow structures became "more structural".

Prior to constructing her palace, Elsa created an ice staircase to cross a gorge; this staircase later became the single access point to gain entry to the palace. In designing her palace, Elsa made extensive use of a snowflake motif, creating the very foundation of the structure from an enormous snowflake design. The snowflake served as a platform from which Elsa constructed the rest of her ice palace; by using ice beams to raise the platform, Elsa built walls and archways as she ascended. The snowflake motif is also present on the palace doors. Prior to its destruction, the ice chandelier hanging from the ceiling of the topmost floor possessed a similar snowflake design. This floor has a set of doors that lead out to a balcony that overlooks the mountain range. The balcony doors and enclosure were damaged during Elsa's battle with the Duke of Weselton's guards. Although it doesn't appear on the show, it is referenced when Elsa asks Ingrid if she has ever built an ice palace. When Elsa arrives in Storybrooke, Ingrid builds a small model ice palace, which bares resemblance to Elsa's, when it's in the process of being created. characters include: Anna, 2 versions of Elsa (classic outfit and coronation look), Kristoff and Olaf, plus 4 LEGO Snowgie figures The palace appears during Sora's adventures in Arendelle. It cannot be explored, and the interior is only briefly shown during cutscenes. However, Sora can climb the palace's staircase and approach its doors. After Arendelle is complete, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven can be found here for interactions.
