Description

The Fujifilm 70-300mm f4-5.6 is a compact, telephoto zoom lens that comes equipped with highly sought-after features found in more expensive offerings. Autofocus is very fast in ideal light, but it does struggle achieving autofocus in high contrast situations with a lot of texture and low light environments with a lot of tonality. It makes up for any shortcomings with its versatility and image quality which are sure to satisfy various niches. Pros and Cons Pros Aperture ring and other control elements: The focus ring on the Tamron 70-300 can be assigned in camera to operate the aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO sensitivity – or simply switched off. This is similar to the multi-function control ring on the Z-Nikkor 100-400 but there are no other control elements/buttons/switches. The F-Nikkor 70-300 has no aperture ring but sports two switches to control focus and VR mode. [+] Select 300mm wide radiators from Trade Radiators to elevate the warmth and comfort of your interior spaces. Opting for the appropriate radiator size is pivotal for achieving efficient heating in both residential and commercial settings, making your choice a crucial aspect of the overall heating puzzle. Ok it’s time for a line-up to put the new lens in perspective. On the far left is the RF 70-200 f2.8L, alongside the RF 100-500, both looking relatively compact in comparison to the others, and remember the latter only works with teleconverters for part of its range, while the former can’t use them at all. Size (diameter x length): 77 x 150mm (3.0 x 5.9in.) plus 67mm for the lens hood. The F-Nikkor 70-300 is 81 x 146mm + 78mm lens hood. Add 30mm for the FTZ adapter to use it on a Nikon Z camera. The Z-Nikkor 100-400 is 98 x 222mm + 65mm lens hood. All three lenses in this comparison extend when zoomed to their longest focal length: The Tamron 70-300 extends to a maximum total length (incl. lens hood) of 277mm, the F-Nikkor 70-300 to 310mm (incl. FTZ adapter), the Z-Nikkor 100-400 to 336mm. [+]

The Sony FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS lens has a metal lens mount. It has a drop-in filter holder at the rear which accepts 40.5mm filters. There is no front filter thread. The FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS is a telephoto lens for Sony's range of Alpha 35mm E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. An inch is the name of a unit of length in a number of different systems, including Imperial units, and United States customary units. There are 36 inches in a yard and 12 inches in a foot. The inch is usually the universal unit of measurement in the United States, and is widely used in the United Kingdom, and Canada, despite the introduction of metric to the latter two in the 1960s and 1970s, respectively. The inch is still commonly used informally, although somewhat less, in other Commonwealth nations such as Australia; an example being the long standing tradition of measuring the height of newborn children in inches rather than centimetres. The international inch is defined to be equal to 25.4 millimeters. While you can use it on a smaller APS-C body like the Sony A6000 series of cameras, it won't balance particularly well and the equivalent focal length will also change to 450mm (although some users may see that as a benefit). The procedure for installing Cellcore panels is straightforward. Cellcore panels should be placed upon a suitable firm and level surface.

Focal ratio: All lenses in this comparison have a focal ratio which becomes smaller the further you zoom in. The Tamron 70-300 starts at f4.5 at 70mm focal length and reduces its focal ratio to f4.8 from 88mm, f5.0 from 116mm, f5.3 from 144mm, f5.6 from 175mm, f6.0 from 217mm, and f6.3 from 268mm onwards. The F-Nikkor 70-300 is a bit brighter (1/3 of a stop at the long end), same with the Z-Nikkor 100-400. [0] The revised 24.6MP Exmor RS CMOS sensor and Bionz XR processing engine are 8x more powerful than those in the Sony A9 II. They support real-time subject recognition for people, cats, dogs, birds, planes, cars, trains, and other objects with auto-focus/auto-exposure at 120fps, and can capture up to 192 frames in RAW (about 6GB of information) per second. (Credit: Sony) Here you will find a wide range of radiator types, formats and orientations. These 300mm wide radiators are manufactured by industry-leading brands like Reina, Paladin and Towelrads. Autofocus: All lenses in this comparison offer autofocus with built-in focus drive. Manual-focus override is by simply turning the dedicated focus ring. On the Tamron 70-300 the focus ring turns the way Nikon users are used to and it has the non-linear gearing which most lenses for mirrorless cameras offer. But although the lens has a USB-C port to connect via computer to Tamron’s lens Utility (TLU) you cannot switch between variable or linear gearing nor can the direction of the ring be reversed – as you can do with the Z-Nikkor 100-400. Focus on the F-Nikkor 70-300 works differently as it has a direct linear mechanical coupling between the focus ring and the focus action. [+] A new vertical grip will go on sale alongside the camera. It duplicates the shutter release and associated dials for easy switching between horizontal and vertical shooting modes. Sony changed the way it draws power from a series to a parallel configuration so the camera thinks the grip is one giant battery rather than two separate ones. The result is a 15% increase in battery life when using the grip. Sony didn't say how many frames to expect from the grip or the camera itself.Formwork sealing tape, typically 50mm wide is used to seal the joints between adjacent panels. Tape should be used to tape the joints to stop the ingress of concrete slurry weeping down between the panels and cousing a dead spot. Just before wrapping-up, one last physical comparison, this time from the side, with the new RF 100-300 at the bottom and the old EF 300 prime at the top. And now both lenses with their hoods and an EOS R3 mounted. Datasheet ǀ Declaration of Performance - DoP ǀ BBA Certificate ǀ Installation Guide ǀ Certificates ǀ Brochure ǀ SPEC Sheet This is followed by switches to limit the distance from 6m to infinity, select manual or autofocus, enable the optical image stabiliser, and choose the actual stabilisation mode.

Like most Tokina lenses of the era, the Tokina 300mm f/4 doesn’t handle flare particularly well. Overall contrast is reduced substantially when shooting against the sun. At times this defect can lend a dreamy quality to photographs. Chromatic Aberration For practical purposes we can round our final result to an approximate numerical value. We can say that three hundred millimeters is approximately eleven point eight one one inches: Sealing: All three lenses in this comparison have a rubber grommet at the lens-mount plus further weather-sealing throughout the construction. [+]Cellcore HG Grade 30/40 Ground Heave Solution is a lightweight expanded polystyrene insulation board specially designed for use in ground heave protection applications where the specification of the project mean that the standard Cellcore Under Slab and Under Ground Beam products are not suitable. Image stabilization: No, the Tamron 70-300 solely relies on the sensor based stabilization of Nikon’s full-frame Z-mount bodies. Both Nikkor lenses have optical stabilization (VR). [0] A millimetre (American spelling: millimeter, symbol mm) is one thousandth of a metre, which is the International System of Units (SI) base unit of length. The millimetre is part of a metric system. A corresponding unit of area is the square millimetre and a corresponding unit of volume is the cubic millimetre. To test the effectiveness of the image stabilization with the Tamron 70-300mm f4.5-6.3 Di III on a Nikon Z 7 camera body, I did a series of 140 test-shots hand-held at 300mm focal length with shutter speeds from 1/320 of a second down to 1/10 sec. I used the shots at 1/320 sec with VR=off as reference of how good my handholding was at the time of the test and Reikan FoCal did the chore of evaluating the sharpness of all shots.

Minimum object distance is 0.67m (2.2ft.) with a magnification of 1:7.4 and a working distance of 0.50m at 70mm focal length. At 300mm focal length maximum magnification is 1:4.6 which is not bad and results in a working distance of 1.2m. A magnification of 1:10 is achieved at 3.06m. The F-Nikkor 70-300 achieves 1:3.8 at 300mm focal length and 0.97m working distance. The Z-Nikkor 100-400 achieve its maximum magnification of 1:2.5 at 400mm focal length and 0.68m working distance. Take complete creative control of your images with PIXMA and imagePROGRAF PRO professional photo printers. The lens exhibits a moderate amount of vignetting that becomes negligible as the lens is stopped down. When using the max aperture, there is about a one-stop of darkening in the corners. At f/5.6, this drops to about half a stop, and by F/8 there is little noticeable darkening in the corners of the frame. Flaring We didn't experience very much "hunting" at all, either in good or bad light, with the lens accurately focusing virtually all of the time, and it's also a very quiet performer that makes it ideal for movie shooting.
