The limited release of adidas Originals by Xbox – Xbox 360 Forum Mid, complete with four additional pairs of laces in red, yellow, green, and blue (representing the face buttons of the Xbox 360 controller), will be available to purchase in the U.

On the strap, you’ll note the Xbox 360 disc tray, along with the classic 360-era Xbox button design on the shoe’s outer side and the console’s air vents on the inner side. Additionally, the heel features references to the Xbox 360’s distinctive removable hard drive and memory unit slots. The company has promised to provide more information about its Xbox mini fridge plans at some point this month. Like other Tech Boost colorways, the Xbox edition shoes feature a translucent sole, which Microsoft says is a reference to the also-translucent 20th Anniversary Xbox controller it just released.

The low-top shoes,inspired by Xbox’s debut 2001 console for the game “Halo: Combat Evolved,” feature lime green and black uppers. Their greatest statement, however, are translucent green soles — a clear reference to the light-up “X”-shaped logo for the gaming system itself. For our 20 th anniversary year, Xbox teamed up with adidas to design three iconic sneakers inspired by our most beloved consoles. Draped in black netting against a green liner, the inside of the shoe resembles the iconic green vents of the Xbox Series X. Adidas and Microsoft have collaborated on three different pairs of shoes this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Xbox, and now the final shoe from that partnership has been officially revealed.

Even if you don’t indulge in a mini-fridge, Xbox-branded Adidas, or a stroll through your own personal history with Xbox, you may want to carve out some time to watch Power On: The Story of Xbox, a surprisingly thorough look back at two decades of gaming efforts from Microsoft that is streaming for free on YouTube and other platforms. Alongside the Xbox sneakers, Microsoft is also planning to release an Xbox mini fridge this holiday. Mirroring the grips on the controller, the shoe features a green heel and translucent sole, pulling directly from the shell of the controller. The overall design and coloring are in place to mimic Microsoft’s latest flagship console, with black netting and a green liner inside that’s similar to the Xbox Series X’s fan vent, and a sphere Xbox logo on the side is drawn from the Elite controller.

The shoes are also shown on revolving platforms lit from below, similar to commercials from the aughts — adding to the collaboration’s nostalgic nature. The simple slip-on design means they don't need to lose precious game minutes pulling on skippers or doing them up. Throughout the rest of the year, Xbox will continue to launch different sneakers through drops with Adidas; naturally, all are inspired by the gaming system’s various consoles.
