Description

I love this robin nesting box, it has everything to protect from the elements and predators and is the ideal place for robins to hatch and raise their brood. It is finished in lovely shades of brown and green enabling it to blend beautifully amongst the shrubs. Easy to hang using the mounting holeor handle, this unique yet practical nester is a great gift for any bird lover. Not so for Robins, they're a little more picky and would prefer a box to be setup actually 2 metres off the ground - though give or take a few inches is no problem.

The robin is justifiably one of my favourite birds, the way they follow us around the garden waiting for us to turn over worms, seeds and insects truly makes them the gardener’s companion. Friendly robins will make themselves quite at home in this ceramic teapot nester from Wildlife World. The frame of the nest is made in twisted plastic coated metal wiring, along with threaded Brushwood tied tightly together to make a safe and secure Robin bird house.Wherever you site a bird box for Robins, use your common sense by making sure there's no obstructions for the birds to access, or when they vacate the box any time. But during the course of the nesting season the natural growth of plants and ivy will go from being vital, to being a clear nuisance.

Fit it to a wall with a climber or shrub trained around it and not only will it enhance your garden, but you might also provide a safe home for a family of robins. Thousands of plants, planters, awnings, garden furniture sets, water features and more line our digital shelves, and we're ready to fill your garden with comfort, quality, colour and style. Made in Birch so there's little to no splinting or cracking of hardwood, thus expect this quality made, yet treated bird box to last longer. The best nesting boxes for robins differ slightly from the conventional boxes that you might be used to seeing.Robins won’t think about using a box with a small entrance hole, preferring an open-fronted box instead. Instead of an exposed nesting box on a wall or fence, robins usually prefer to build their nests among natural vegetation, such as ivy and other climbers. On your part you'd need to drill the hole on the corresponding wall, tree or fence post before hooking this box on.

Siting a nesting box is quite easy, as long as you follow the above guide and have a suitable spot in your garden. Where to put a Robin bird box relies heavily on your garden, so scout a suitable location taking into consideration ivy or plant cover 2 metres off the ground. But where you lack natural coverage - while it still applies always - its sure made a lot more easier with this made in Brushwood Robin Nester.

Instead you'd find the more practical boxes, are not boxes at all - but a tree log or threaded Brushwood. One thing all Robin bird nest boxes have in common is the entrance hole; its large, open with a shallow box for wild birds to use their own material to build up their nest inside the bird box. Robins like open-fronted nesting sites and often make use of man made items such as flowerpots, boxes and kettles. The fact the nest has been in existence for a time may make it more likely to have been discovered and is no longer considered safe by the robin.
