Like an immersion in the heart of lush vegetation with pure and green freshness, this accord unveils a duo of green and floral notes: the original combination of Rhubarb Leaf with tangy and crunchy notes, with luminous Orange Blossom and deliciously feminine. Together, they diffuse an intense vibrant freshness This is a scent you can dislike, but admire for its rebel yell. It eschews the mass-appealing designer template, with its quirky, niche personality. It’s a designer house willing to die on a hill for “the principal of the matter.” I love this just a bit more, than I love the original. But the thing is, the lasting power could be a bit better with this one. I don't know, if I have just been spoiled by the original Aura, that has a major lasting power on me. But this seems a bit weak for an EDP. If this had been a EDT, I would be okay with it. It seems to be one of those perfumes which smells different to different people. For instance I get a lot of sweetness and fruits with something really aromatic that I can't put my finger on. It smells bright and fresh but it also smells airy if it's breezy and u catch a waft of it. Saying that though my sister smelt it on me and was like "omg that stinks what are you wearing its horrible" she gets the menthol and medicinal smell people have mentioned so out of curiosity I went around my family in the room one by one to see what they got from it lol ..

And Aura began to project. And project. And... project!!! It filled my nostrils. It filled the car. Given half a chance, I suspect it might have attempted to conquer the world. (So, if this works on you, congratulations -- longevity and sillage are impeccable.) I got a small sample yesterday cause I've been wanting to expand on my Mugler collection a little bit, since I absolutely adore Alien but couldn't quite get behind Angel and was curious to try another main Mugler creation. This one is a bit complex to describe, and it may smell overwhelming at times. It's different, but reminds me of the general vein of "Alien", so, it's not bizarre this one came from the same fashion house. I apply it generously (I can't help it!) and on my skin it has good projection and lasts more than 12 hours, delighting me throughout the day. What an incredibly interesting concoction! The initial blast, at least to my nose, is an almost minty, sweet wintergreen aroma that has me raising a perplexed brow. Once it settles on the skin, the refreshing wintergreen dances with vanilla in the most oddly complex way. I’m not sure about the other notes, but I predominantly get a green, cold, icy refreshing vanilla. I’m not sure if I like it, yet my nose keeps being drawn to my wrist, whether I want to or not. I feel this could almost be unisex, if I really think about it. The trail is a moderate one, and I find this to be incredibly long lasting. I can easily smell this 12 hours later, and that’s without shoving my nose into my skin. My husband said “you smell like a bunch of pixies hanging out in a wild strawberry bush in the forest.”

Eau Sensuelle is perfect for the heat. It's tropical green with a bright white floral boost and an underlying vanilla vibe that doesn't take away at all from the tropical feel. It's summer vanilla done right! I'm one of the people who never could really pull off the original Aura. No matter if I just sprayed it or rubbed it in how many suggest, on me the original Aura would always developed a particular quality somewhere in between medicinal and akin to some jelly based candy from my childhood (I never could quite put my finger on which though). In short, even though super unique and interesting, me and Aura to my chagrin just never worked out. The opening is all about challenging medicinal eucalyptus that smells like menthol, but worse. Many tones appear next. The aquatic notes probably include non-zesty citrus, lily, orchid, and aldehyde/ ozone, while perhaps the floral notes include rose, geranium, lily-of-the-valley, orange blossom, jasmine, and ylang ylang, but associated with that ambiguous "solar note" that is seldom added to floral notes to create a fresh-spicy aspect. The aromatic herbs are potentially eucalyptus, cinnamon, lavender, and oakmoss. The green note is clean and indicates freshly-cut leaves, stems, and grass, without being dirty or earthy, but with a hint of sweet-and-sour fruity-grape nuance. The base is about cedar wood, ambery-green resin (most probably, galbanum root), and cosmetic powdery notes (I bid for musk, violet, orris, vanilla or coumarin/ tonka, as well as marzipan/ almond without a doubt). It's so addicting to smell it! At times it smells the way root beer tastes, other times it's a fresh powdery scent, and at the same time it has a camphoraceous menthol scent. In the initial spray it does have a citrus element that stings the nose with the alcohol and a tart sweetness like tart chalky candy (Sweetarts) but it goes away and becomes way softer. It doesn't really smell feminine to me but it does have a sweetness to it so it might not be exactly masculine either. I asked a few coworkers to smell it and one said it smelled like barbershop to her. I guess that kind of confirmed my belief that it seemed more masculine. I spray this on my pillows and some puff balls I had hanging in my car; I can't get enough of the scent! I am disappointed that the scent does not last long and dies down immediately and the sillage is very poor.... Maybe that's a good thing because other people might not like the way it smells. My boyfriend was okay with it it but it wasn't anything that was going to make him swoon. On my skin it dries down to a mild powdery vanilla or marshmallow scent and the root beer scent goes away. On clothes and pillows, the camphor / menthol scent is still there and sometimes smells like a very sugary spearmint chewing gum.....or maybe it smells the way the purple "Violet Flavor" Canel's gum tastes-- or maybe it was Chiclets grape flavor gum I am thinking of. When it really dies down, the scent reminds me of Matrix Biolage's "Blue Agave" Smoothing Shine Milk, but the milk has a tiny hint of coconut. Biolage has good smelling shampoos and conditioners; they have soothing scents. Their products don't have the camphor / menthol scent so if you want to experience the soothing green scent with the creamy vanilla, try Matrix Biolage's hair products.

I like, that this scent is a bit odd to some. This is not a crowd pleaser, this a unique scent. That also means, that I have not smelled any of the Aura scents on other people around me, so I can have this as a signature scent completely to myself. That is a big win to me.

Found it, sprayed my right forearm, and Aura Mugler is a more Minty and Powdery version of Joop for men! Anyway, strongly attracted by this stunner of a bottle and after trying Eau Sensuelle a few times in the store I finally could carry an Aura bottle home (even if a flanker) knowing I'd be at least able to wear it, and I'm so happy! I'm glad I bought a 100 ml refill bottle 3 years ago. As they did with Womanity I'm pretty sure they will change the formula to become more ... crowd friendly. Hence a spark of genius will be gone and that will smell like other perfumes more or less.

If you miss Ricci Ricci, this is her grassy springtime cousin. It's quirky, in a unique way same as Alien. They smell nothing alike, but share that same strong bold personality. If Alien smells sexy to you, this will come off as a fruity gentle dream. If you aren't into bold, attention seeking scents, avoid. But I'm a weirdo with a big personality, so I love this. Then the dry down... It's headachey, and green. The green I get is pine which is unfortunate because I am really not a pine lover. My grandad used to wear Coty - Aspen and this reminds me so much of him and their house. Which isn't a bad memory, but I much preferred his old spiceSillage is good. Another person will be fairly close to you to enjoy the scent, perhaps leaning in. Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle is a much softer and a less harsh take on the original. It smells almost fresh and 'fizzy' to my nose, like the scent of a Lifesavers hard candy. You could class it as a gourmand-floral, as it has an 'edible' kind of an aroma. When it was released, it was a perfume that I didn't like. In fact, I never bought it and opted for the Sensuelle version, which was easier to wear in my opinion. A long time later, a sample of a dupe of this fragrance fell into my hands and I found it amazing, it completely conquered me. So I had to start the hunt of this discontinued perfume. And I got at a very good price, a 30 ml size without a box that was missing about 8 ml. I told myself that to have the opportunity to confirm if I really liked the perfume (you never know how successful a dupe can be) and to include a few ml in the collection this was enough. After using it twice I had to look for a replacement and now I have a 90 ml bottle that will allow me to use up the small one without worries. After not liking it at the beginning, Aura has become one of the very few perfumes that I have a replacement for.
