First, I think Fern is the most helpful and assertive of the fairies thus far and I really appreciated that energy. Lastly, the secret garden maze setting was definitely the best setting so far, it was magical but also had the potential to be spooky.

The plots and themes become more complex in the later books, but this first series was the one that captured my kids' attention. A hedgehog who has heard the commotion offers to help, and rolls into the goblins’ path, pricking their feet and giving Fluffy a chance to escape as the firefly trail fades.Dhami has published many retellings of popular Disney stories and wrote the Animal Stars and Babes series, the latter about young British girls of Asian origin. They love the The Rainbow Series and, with instructor support, it's appropriate for all reading levels. Both girls admire the lush plants and the crumbling old tower, although they’re disappointed to discover the tower door locked.

I like the pictures because I like to see what they're doing, and it looks like it could come true, like you could dream about it.A line of lights - fireflies sent by the other Rainbow Fairies - appears showing the way out of the orchard, but the goblins have spotted Fluffy and Fern.
