What does the slide control on the the V11 cleaning head do. There are 3 positions. What is each position for going from left to right when facing the machine Reply At a basic level, all versions of the Dyson V11 are really the same cordless vacuum cleaner. They have the same motor, design, battery, and canister – the only difference is the included floorheads.

For typical cleaning you can use regular power. I’d only use max power for high traffic areas or for room-by-room deep cleaning. Since it doesn’t last very long, you really only have enough power to clean 1-2 rooms and then you’ll need a recharge. Three suction modes. The V11 has three suction modes: Eco, Medium/Auto, and Boost. While all versions of the V11 have three modes, only models with the High Torque floorhead can use the vacuum’s automatic suction adjustment system. The “Auto” mode just becomes “Medium” when you’re not using the High Torque tool. You are correct. Dyson seems to have updated the V11 Torque Drive model within the last month or two. There is no question, the V11 Outsize is a notable improvement over the V11 Torque Drive & Animal. However, it’s also more expensive.Again, there’s not much difference in performance when it comes to cleaning pet hair. Both vacuums are amongst the best cordless vacuums for cleaning pet hair, making them great choices if you have a dog or cat. The far left side will lower all the gates, creating more seal and more suction. This is great for deep cleaning carpets.

The Dyson V11 Torque Drive model comes with an LCD screen that displays performance in a run time countdown in real time. That said, there is definitely a percentage of consumers who have said the multi surface V-series brushrolls have scratched their hardwoods. The attachments are additional weight, but would result in a lower overall weight of the unit if attached.

Thank you for answering my question. I have another: I read the V11 now has a detachable battery that can be charged separately from the main unit. Is that true? If so, do all v11’s have that feature? What is the price of a separate battery? Also price of the soft roller that can be used in the v11? Reply I have tile in my bathrooms and hardwood everywhere else. I do have area rugs on my hardwood floors. Would you recommend the v11 or v10 absolute for me? Reply It’s worth noting that the Soft Roller can’t take advantage of the V11’s automatic suction adjustment though. If your home is mainly hard floors, then you won’t be able to make full use of one of the key V11 upgrades when using this tool. See our comprehensive V11 variant comparison here – https://moderncastle.com/dyson-v11-torque-drive-vs-outsize-vs-animal-vs-outsize-origin/– for more info However, depending on current sales the price different can make the V10 a better value choice. This is especially true if you have lots of hardwood floors and want the soft roller that is included with the V10 Absolute.

Our most powerful, lightweight cordless vacuum with De-tangling te All versions of the Dyson V11 are excellent cordless vacuums. But if you want the full V11 experience, then we recommend spending a bit more to get the Absolute version. This model is the only option that includes both the excellent Torque Drive (with automatic suction adjustment) and Soft Roller floorheads, making it the most versatile choice. Now, more than a year later, it’s doubled down on its cordless commitment by giving the new Dyson V11 more power so you have less work to do – even if it isn't quite as hands-free as a robot vacuum cleaner.

Motorbar™ cleaner head technology uses polycarbonate hair removal vanes to automatically clear the brush bar as you clean. Even so, the vast majority of features are shared by the Absolute, Animal, and Torque Drive. Some features that are common to all versions of the V11 include: I am going to get a v11 with torque drive but I am torn with one question that I hope you can answer. As you can tell from the list above, most features of the V11 are common to all versions. There are a few key differences though, so let’s take a look at the unique features of each model. One of the key new features of the V11 is that it includes Dyson’s new “Dynamic Load Sensor” technology.

I think you just need to ask yourself how much you’re going to use it handheld mode. If the answer is 30% or more, get the Torque Drive for added maneuverability. If it’s less than that just get the Outsize for added performance. Tested and engineered for homes with pets, the Dyson Outsize creates powerful suction that drives deep to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets and rugs.thank you so much for your prompt reply. One last question. I see inquires on the soft roller brush. If the V11 does both hardwood and carpets without changing parts. What does the soft roller brush do? What makes the Absolute so much more expensive though? The main reason is that the Absolute comes with the new High Torque floorhead. Aside from providing more power, the High Torque floorhead is capable of responding to the V11’s “Dynamic Load Sensor” technology, which automatically adjusts suction depending on the floor type. My Dyson V11’s power head quit working on eco and auto after about 6 months. Dyson replaced it; it lasted a few months and the same thing happened. Dyson sent me another and it quit working after a few months also. They sent me another, and it would not work on eco when I received it and after 6 weeks the auto quit working again. I called them and they told me the warranty has run out. The vacuum only works on boost for like 6 minutes. Reply The V11 Absolute should be more or less the same. I’m not finding as much good info on the Absolute (possibly due to country search restrictions / targeting). Conjecture begins here) From Dyson’s perspective, it makes sense. I am guessing they don’t want people buying old parts for new vacuums. Perhaps there is an argument that the older parts don’t match the power usage / output of the new motors?
