The high-end digital compact camera is equipped with an LCD monitor that supports touch operations and a convenient control dial. The GR iii constantly struggles to achieve focus, even on the most obvious subjects and the full HD 1080p video looks more like 720p.

The fact that Ricoh managed to fit a 3-axis IBIS system in this camera is a beautiful and appreciated gift. This model is one-size smaller than that of the GR II and about the same size of GR DIGITAL IV with a 1/1. The camera is quick to start up so if you see something you want to capture it’s easy to whip it out of your pocket, turn it on and snap away.The specs claim both cameras have a 3 inch screen and one might believe it until the displays are turned on side by side displaying an image. The Ricoh GR III and I crossed paths back in 2019, 3 years ago, and probably an eternity in photography equipment releases. If you have always wanted a high-performing compact (APSC sized sensor and above) there are only just a few choices, the Leica Q series, the Fujifilm X100 series, and the Ricoh GR series.
