Description

I bought a bottle of Amarula on a cruise ship more than 10 years ago. It’s never been opened. Do you think it’s still safe to be consumed? Thanks for your response; this question has been on my mind for quite some time.

Remove from heat and pour the custard into a large mixing bowl. Place the bowl into icy water and stir until the custard has cooled.

The Handwork Hub is an Empowerment Project that supports women in South Africa seeing them go from handworkers to proud business owners. Many of the women employed through this initiative are the sole breadwinners and primary caregivers. Protecting the plant and species that inhabit our earth are important to us and are among the ways we ignite our marula spirit. It’s behind our commitment to sustainable partnerships with communities that harvest the distinct and signature marula fruit featured in each bottle, our commitment to protecting elephants and our product innovations such as Vegan Certified Amarula plant-based. We have carefully crafted and created, a new Vegan Certified plant-based indulgence, that can be enjoyed by vegans, those with lactose/dairy intolerance or just those looking to savour the wonderful flavours of Coconut and Marula fruit in a delightfully balanced easy to drink liqueur that tastes like real cream. The Scottish, not content with the oh-so-polite cake recipe of the English, decided to make their own version. Tipsy laird recipes contain – yep, you guessed it – whisky in the whipped cream. Well, it wouldn’t be Scottish without whisky now, would it? What is the best way to layer a trifle?

Whether you’re baking a summer cheesecake or whipping up a berry trifle like this recipe, Amarula can bring a flavor that’ll take your summer to new heights. T he Marula spirit is distilled and aged in French oak for two years then blended with cream to create this unique liqueur. If you have never tasted Amarula you are in for such a treat!

For the Amarula Custard: Combine the cream, milk and Amarula in a saucepan. Bring to the boil then remove from the heat. Now that you’ve tried the amazing taste of Amarula, why not whip up a few more Amarula-based recipes? From delicious drinks to seriously sumptuous summertime desserts, Amarula recipes are as varied as they are delicious. There is just one place on earth where the Marula trees grow – across Africa’s subequatorial plains. And there is just one time of year when the Marula trees bear their exotic fruit – at the height of our beautiful summer. STEP 1. Pour a little chocolate syrup into a small plate and cocoa powder into another. Dip the martini glass into the syrup and then into the cocoa powder to frost the glass. Alternatively place the glasses in the freezer for 20 minutes. Drizzle commercial chocolate syrup inside the glass just before you are ready to pour. Amarula cheesecake – another one of my Amarula dessert recipes, this one is deliciously decadent and extremely simple to make. This cheese cake recipe will blow you away!

The size of small plums but oval in shape, the Marula fruit ripens to a rich yellow, with a tough outer skin surrounding its fibrous, white flesh. Containing four times more vitamin C than the average orange, Marula is a succulent fruit with a citrus tang and a creamy, nutty taste. After this comes the custard. Pour the custard over the fruit – it’ll soak down the bottom pound cake layer and all the flavors will mingle. For the Amarula Vanilla Spiced Cream: Pour the cream into a mixing bowl and add the icing sugar. Whisk until soft peaks form. Add the Amarula Vanilla Spice a little at a time, while whisking. Set aside. STEP 4. Strain into two prepared martini glasses and garnish with some fresh chocolate shavings. Drink immediately! Add 1-2 shots of Amarula Cream Liqueur into the coffee and stir it. Carefully pour the Amarula Cream into a shot glass or jigger. Then, pour the shot into your coffee mug. Mix the drink with a spoon to incorporate both liquids. [5] X Research source

Amarula – The Spirit Of Africa

Amarula, the original Marula-based alcoholic drink, was first launched as a clear spirit in 1983. In 1989, cream was added to the Marula-based spirit changing it to a cream liqueur. If you only make one dessert this summer, make it this Amarula berry trifle, which is full of so many delicious flavors that combine so well. One spoonful is like a sumptuous summer party in your mouth.
