The General Wine Company sources wines from all over the world, but with a particular focus on small, independent producers. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase and receive wine and spirits in the United Kingdom. International Wine and Spirits Competition Best Rye Worldwide Whiskey) **Knob Creek® Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is quality screened to remove only pieces of charred barrel wood from the liquid. Thankfully, Jim Beam found a way to overcome its inventory shortages and has been able to reintroduce the 9 year age statement.Love it or loathe it, the Jim Beam distillery DNA has been evident in every expression I have tried from Knob Creek. Created to represent whiskey before it was mass produced, Knob Creek embodies the look, feel and taste of pre-prohibition bourbon.

It’s something I still think about whenever I’m tasting this or any of the other half-dozen labels they’ve rolled out with over the years. Copper to medium amber in colour, it is a bold balance of deep, pre-Prohibition-style bourbon with a robust oak taste, complemented with hints of smooth vanilla and layered caramel.Sazerac made moves to remove Eagle Rare’s 10 year age statement (by putting it on the rear label temporarily) and demoted Very Old Barton 6 Year Old Bottled in Bond to an NAS, 100 proof version. The palate is lively and rich with notes of candy floss and nut oil, as well as a hint of spice and dark chocolate and charred oak. The whiskey is part of the Small-Batch-Bourbon-Collection and is considered as a beginner variant in this series.
