Thomas has done it again, with a food packed, fun filled book which is the perfect way to go on holiday without leaving the comfort of your own home. Bidlea Farm has been run by 3 generations of farmers and is now a beloved ice cream farm in Cheshire! Such a fantastic read, I felt very privileged to be asked to read Jo’s latest novel in advance of publication, it did not disappoint.

With the lab-like setting of Ice Cream lab, as the name might suggest, you’ll feel like a scientist while picking the base and toppings for the machines to instantly freeze them into a delicious dessert. Determined and forthright, Beca decides she will create the essence of the place again as a way to honour what her family has taught her. Ice creams are handmade at the farm, and you can even purchase cheeses, butter, honey and more while you’re there. There was an element of putting ghosts to rest and trying to move into a new and more positive mindset now that she is back in the village. Her home sounded wonderful and was obviously just the place to heal old wounds and become a haven to anyone who needed it.Beca is the kind of person that if I met her in real life my impression would be that she is a selfless person who puts others before herself. The whole feel of this book was just delicious and I felt like I could have read on forever but all good things do need to come to an end.

Keep an eye on Joe the youngest brother as he has as he has learning disabilities, nonspecific, but he can look after himself anxiety issues but generally he's very content when he knows what happening and is kept to a routin.My heart went out to Blake, even though he was more difficult, as he just expected to be let down as he had been so many times before. The minute that the two foster children came into Beca’s life in the book, everything changed and all that Jo had laid out in the book before that moment started to make sense. Oh my days what can I say about this book… Straight away you are transported to the beautiful picturesque setting. Ty Mawr name of house and 'This could be the perfect for children' well learn she has been approved to Foster children she believes under 10. Beca is a strong, determined, warm hearted woman, and the book is filled with humour and laughter, but also heartbreaking at times.
