The only thing worse than having a ‘one that got away’ is knowing you’re the one who pushed her to leave.” There was mention of Bailey having trouble having Os. His response was amazing, but I expected this to play out in the bedroom, but nope. Immediately orgasming with him every single time. I really wanted it to happen because we never ever see this. Women don’t always have orgasms or struggle to have them, and it would have been so amazing to see this in a book. Otherwise Engaged” by Avery Keelan is another beautiful romance between Thayer and Bennett. The former believed that pretending she had a boyfriend would help to get her out of trouble, only to find that it landed her in more. It was good but idk I feel like the sex tape scandal should have been something more. It was really played down on what happened after being hyped up about what could happen. Her stories contain happily ever afters with lovable characters, snarky banter, and enough steam to fog up a mirror. Plus, of course, a hefty dose of drama and angst along the way.

Before we know it, the boundaries begin to blur until we can’t see them anymore. But with so much on the line, I'm risking a lot more than just my heart this time. Unlike many authors who do not have a favorite novel, Avery Keelan has said that her favorite novel is “Rules of the Game.” Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. Those things saved the book for me, but there are definitely some developmental issues for me, which would make you think I would maybe DNF or not read another book but something keeps me holding out hope that the story telling will get better because I really enjoy the style and characters she creates.I also didn’t like how there were so many loose ends with Luke. Like wtf did he even want? He dumped her? Why was he stalking her, what was his motivation to split them up? More insight on that situation would have been good. The Enforcer follows the story of Nash and Violet, two sweetheart exes who has decided to give their love a second chance. Nash is such a h*t but such a br**ding guy. He literally hates everyone but our baby Violet (and maybe Biscuit). He is literally the definition of a sweetheart gr*mpy A-hole! And let's not forget our baby Violet. She became one of my favourite fmcs the Moment I read about her! She's a teddy bear that you can't help but bear hug. As someone with a lot so great family relationship, Nash’s reluctance to share his history hits hard. I couldn’t help but relate, and empathise, seeing parts of myself in him. Like at what point does it get only a little exiting? All I’m asking for it a 0.5 effort. Chase loans her family money and he has to make it up for her. “You know, I’m pretty mad” bailey says as she smiles. NOT EVEN A THANK YOU. She never tried to get a job, she just kept drinking her vanilla latte and let chase pay for everything while using a victim coat every chance she could get. This is not what i look for or want to recognize in a female character. Like the bar for her was so low, everything made her sad and she needed to be taken care of etc etc. that’s usually something i would enjoy in a book, even prefer. So use your fantasy to imagine how tame it was handled in this book. God was it traumatizing to read. Anything traumatized this girl, willingly going into a sex store? Left a dent in her soul apparently. She was just so boring in the relationship. Nothing exciting ever.

He just learned that the beautiful girl he had been seeing on the university campus was the daughter of Coach Ward. He made a mental note to himself to stay as far away as possible from her. There is a maturity to Keelan’s writing and characters, and a certain tender vulnerability the heart which beats beneath the heartache and toxicity instilled behind their actions. The strength and the patience of both Violet and Nash, despite their hurts and their fears, was endearing, and I adored Violet’s awareness of her worth and what she deserved. Nash was tough and reserved with just the right amount of soft and sweet in his protective stance towards Violet and determination to do better by her this time around. The sparks flew with every touch and adoring look, and the steam they created together was electric, and I just loved these two. This was a second chance you believed in, a love worth fighting for.The Enforcer” by Avery Keelan is the beautiful romance story of Nash and Violet. He had been her first boyfriend who was her first love, her first time, her first heartbreak, and her first everything. Oohh, where to begin, where to begin. I think I'll start off by saying that this was a good book. It's a great book, and I cannot be more thankful to have received an ARC to read it a bit earlier than everyone. This was one of those books that once you were hooked in, you could not put it down. I really really found it hard to put down but at the same time, I wanted to put it down because I didn't want it to be over. While she now thinks of herself as an author, she has said that her biggest dream is to one day hold a physical copy of her works and put it on her home bookshelf. She would also be delighted if one or several of her books were optioned and made into movies. After what happened last time, I know better than to fall for Nash again. Not to mention, there’s a strict no-fraternization policy between trainers and their athletes. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to make me give him another chance.. They were a couple before, until Nash decided to break up with Violet because of his family problems. I do understand that he done it for a reason, but he hurt Violet. And she was still feeling the hurt through the book. That was the main reason that she decided not to trust him that easily. The sparks, the love and the heat between both of them were again... still there. I am happy that there wasn't that much of tug and pull between them. Violet was scared that Nash will hurt her again, and he was scared for the same thing, with the exception that he was determined not to do the same mistake twice.

But their chemistry is as hot as it has ever been and he seems hellbent on convincing her that he deserves another chance. Before they know it the boundaries are blurring until they ultimately disappear. The heroine having a hard time having an O was definitely unique and I loved how the hero handled it. They get together early, so early that I was truly concerned with where she would go with this because it was a big book. She could have taken out so much of them in their happy phase (especially since the break up is late and doesn’t last long) and focused more on developing the conflict. She is a brilliant tattoo-covered brunette that is 100 percent his type even though she is definitely off-limits. Since he is in his senior year of college, scouts have been watching his every move and he cannot food to ever get benched for a misdemeanor. After what happened last time, I know better than to fall for Nash again. Not to mention, there’s a strict no-fraternization policy between trainers and their athletes. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to convince me to give him another chance.
