If I had to pick one thing from my entire workstation that I’ve used the longest, the Logitech MX518 definitely takes the cake. Don’t expect to suddenly be a better player once you plug in the MX518, in fact I actually found myself to be worse when I first started using this mouse. Not only do I have small hands as I already mentioned, but I also use a mouse very differently to most people.

However, I use a Mac and my personal experience is that the Logitech software doesn’t always work as well as the Windows version. Yeah the things you mentioned would really bother me, I do not want unnecessarily many buttons or options, just a good mouse with great build quality. I do own a G400 (the older version with the same sesnor as G400S), and for FPS use, the sensor wasn't cutting it for me after some 2-3 years.
