Then when she unleashes her plot to get out from under his thumb I felt that the writer (Spurrier) did Vader an injustice in the interest of making Aphra seem cleverer. After scouring the planet to find the Triple Zero Matrix, Aphra runs into Vader, who is searching for his own personal resources outside of the Empire. The two murderbots were definitely my favorite characters in the collection, with the best dialogue and with the best plot reversals. Winloss and Nokk are probably the most annoying and poorly drawn.
