It can run for 3.4 hours on the highest setting at 6,500 lumens as well as 6.8 hours at 1,000 lumens. The flashlight has white light, red light, and UV light, making it perfect for places underwater or in a cave. The second innovation is the flashlight has two built-in lights. One lamp is a narrower beam for longer range use which maxes out at 800 lumens. The other lamp is a floodlight maxing out at 1000 lumens. This is the only flashlight on this list with two lamps. The most interesting option for me is the brass housing. It’s satisfyingly heavy in the hand and has an antique quality that’s very appealing. Who the Peak LED Solutions Eiger Ultra X is Ideal for

Beyond user experience, the runtime is phenomenal. With the new PD36R PRO in Eco (30 lumens) mode, you can achieve a solid 42 hours of runtime. If runtime is your primary concern, the non-PRO version of this light has a much longer runtime, but lower overall output. Well, I don’t recommend these for everyone, and just like I mentioned above, these really aren’t for those that are on a tight budget. If you appreciate fine-tuning and advanced flashlight technology, and you have a rather deep budget for flashlights, then sure, the Surefire EDC Series is an excellent place to look. This is Princeton Tec’s best-selling SCUBA diving flashlight because it’s ergonomic and traditional. The flashlight has a narrow beam rated at 420 lumens with a switch that’s glove-friendly. Its traditional design makes it as useful on land as underwater. Meanwhile, this light can dive to around 300 feet which is twice as deep as most divers will ever see. Because it has a narrow beam, this flashlight is best used for detail work. Who the Princeton Tec League is Ideal for

Lumen Users:

The Trek 2 is a double-sealed flashlight that’s capable of working at ocean depths of 1000 feet. Its waterproof capabilities outshine its brightness, though, because 19 lumens isn’t going to be a useful light source at depth unless as a last resort. Some divers bring this flashlight for just that reason. Who the Tektite Trek 2 is Ideal for It’s slightly larger than our 2021 winner from Fenix, however, so it’s less suitable for hikers, hunters, or others who value light weight and small size. One final note on AA and AAA batteries. Some folks argue that it is easier to replace batteries in the field than to charge them. Our testers have carried small battery chargers on many adventures, and they work great with flashlights for long trips. For trips over a week or two in length, though, disposable batteries still have an edge. In short, our primary flashlight testers are not just super into the outdoors; they’re also flashlight nerds. We really love the technology that goes into flashlights and headlamps. As the author of this article, I personally spend hours every month testing the newest flashlights to see if they can outperform our favorites listed here. Imalent MS18 tech specs: Lumens:120,000 lumens | Beam distance:6,824 feet | Peak beam intensity:1090000cd | Battery Life:15 hours on lowest setting| IP Rating:IP56

This isn’t a list of “light cannons,” as you’ll rarely need one million candlepower model. But, I did include one monster in case super-powered lighting is your jam. So if you love torches, read on for what we’ve determined to be the best flashlights available today. Because GearJunkie focuses on the outdoors, I rated these based on weight, size, battery life, color rendering, and lighting versatility. You can learn a lot more about how I tested and chose these flashlights below, but right up top, I’d like to state that this guide focuses on truly excellent flashlights that can perform day in and day out — whether you use a light professionally or simply need one for camping or to store at home for a power outage. For most campers, anything over 1,000 lumens is overkill. You’ll often find yourself using much lower settings, especially around camp. However, those big numbers can be nice, especially if you need to see faraway objects. Battery Life There are millions of other people in the exact same situation as you. Men and women who know that being over 50 doesn’t mean winding down. Single people just like you, who are passionate about travel, the arts, sport or food. Individuals who don’t see midlife as the beginning of the end, but as a fresh new chapter. And this is your opportunity to meet them. You’re over 50 and single, and this really is the prime of your life. You’ve never felt better. Your kids have flown the nest, and you finally have the time and money to do the things that you love. But you don’t want to do those things alone. Maybe you’ve considered online dating but worry it’s not for you.

I was actually blown away by the brightness of the LED bulb, and being that it is rechargeable, it’s a no-brainer for those who use flashlights frequently and don’t want to spend money continuously on batteries. This category of flashlight is reserved for beams of light producing greater than 2000 lumens. A professional-grade light quality with search-light capabilities is a rare product. Of the made-in-the-USA flashlights, only one design qualifies, and it’s also the most expensive. High-Intensity Flashlights My favorite setting on the MS12 which was a deciding factor for me is the low setting at 300 lumens. This low setting is more than enough to eluminate a large room by placing the flashlight in the center of the room pointing upwards at the most familiar white colored ceilings of most homes. The fact that it can run on the lowest setting for an impressive 55 hours is remarkable. There is no heat generated at the lowest setting and the cooling fan does not activate while in this setting. With over 200 employees, they’ve become the standard for American manufacturing. Maglite flashlights are made in America with a small amount of imported parts. Specifically, they are made in Ontario, California. What We Like and Don’t Like About the Maglite ML300LX At just 2 inches long and 0.64 inch wide weighing in at 22 grams, the Olight i1R 2 PRO is a small rechargeable light with an easy UI and great performance.

There are six total settings, including a middle output of 4,200 lumens and a low output of 1,200 lumens. A built-in thermal control module will automatically adjust the brightness output so that you can use the flashlight comfortably without overheating. This is a no-frills, AA flashlight with two modes. But it gives excellent lighting. Zoomed out, it provides a very wide, perfect circle with no halos thanks to Coast’s Pure Beam focus. Then, zoom the lens for a bright point of light with a 134-meter throw. The zoom motion is very simple and smooth. Grab the zooming head by the nice knurling and twist it. It zooms to a hard stop on wide and long throws. Fenix PD35R tech specs: Lumens:1,700 lumens | Beam distance: 1,158 feet | Peak beam intensity:31200cd | Battery life:100 hours on Eco mode | IP Rating:IP68 Imalent SR16 tech s pecs: Lumens:55,000 lumens | Beam distance:5,627 feet | Peak beam intensity: 736000cd | Battery life: 7 hours (on lowest setting)| IP Rating: IP56My cousin did a 20 minute test with both the MS12 and MS18 at night outside his house. He let me know that the cooling system on the MS12 on turbo simply cannot keep up and the entire flaslight becomes too hot to touch without using leather gloves. He also let me know that the cooling system on his MS18 on turbo is greatly improved and keeps the flashlight at a tolerable temperature. A neat fact is that the MS18 had a higher beam intensity than the sunlight during a 95 degree midday in San Jose California in August. First, I look for flashlights that work well for both home and outdoor use. This means I look for higher output than flashlights intended primarily for indoor use. I also only include flashlights that can function after at least a 1m drop, are water-resistant, and have a max runtime of at least 8 hours — enough to get you through a summer night at a minimum. The tiny Eiger Ultra X can be built with a high-output LED that splits the night at an astonishing 420 lumens. The light uses a quantum tunneling mechanism which gives the light an infinitely variable light intensity from 1 lumen the whole way to the max. If opting for an aluminum housing, it’ll weigh in at just 0.94 ounces which is easily the lightest and smallest option reviewed here. It’s also available with an optional keychain attachment for ease of access. Meanwhile, the quality build and finish of the Eiger Ultra X is unparalleled. There are many flashlights out there, and honestly, if you don’t need something ultra-compact, then the 1 hour run time at maximum power doesn’t make much sense, so I suppose that if you have the space or carrying capacity to get something larger, then do that. These are excellent options for those who don’t have the carrying capacity for a bigger flashlight or for those who hate carrying around loads of gear.

We want to revolutionize senior dating and online dating by offering quality conversations with genuine people. 100% of our profiles are verified and we have a key focus on fun and adventure. ‘Mature dating’ doesn’t have to be a euphemism for dry and boring. Online dating doesn’t come with age limits. Senior dating should just mean you can chat to people the same age as you – not that dating suddenly has to be boring.

Easily the most waterproof of the review, the Princeton Tec Sector 7 is a flashlight engineered for SCUBA diving. It’ll stay waterproof down to 300 feet which is twice as deep as most divers will ever see. Although it’s on the heavy side, once you dive into water, it’s more neutrally buoyant. At 700 lumens of light intensity and a wide beam, this flashlight will allow you to see your peripheral surroundings very well. Speaking of modes, the PD36R PRO ranges from a low-end 30 lumens up to a searingly bright 2,800 lumens. At that 2,800-lumen turbo mode, you can easily see objects at 1,247 feet. That’s more than enough for most use cases for recreation in the outdoors. And impressively, the PD36R PRO can maintain that brightness for 3.5 hours. In terms of battery longevity, the Tektite Trek 2 is only outmatched by the Maglite LED 6D. It can run for as long as 40 hours on high or 200 hours on low. This is Tektite’s most popular flashlight because of its ridiculously long run time. With its low-end output of 19 lumens, this flashlight is best used for indoors or close-range applications. Next comes the question of batteries. Because of the efficiency of modern flashlights, there are now just two real choices: flashlights that run on AA or AAA batteries, or rechargeable flashlights that run off one of many higher-end battery systems and are almost always included in the light. Gone are the days of giant D-cell flashlights. But there is still a significant argument between those who believe disposable batteries or rechargeable batteries are better. I will get into it more below, but our team likes rechargeable batteries more in most cases. Lumens: Max Output The original incandescent Maglites, despite newer LED technology being more efficient, are still wildly popular due to their low cost and extremely robust designs. Simply put, this is the flashlight that several generations of American consumers have trusted and relied upon, and even now, these lights are being passed down to the next generation of flashlight wielders.
