Once again I find myself beginning my review before finishing. I'm only three chapters in and I'm already ensnared and enthralled so much that jotting my thoughts down as I go is a must. These characters are just that engrossing to read! Not to mention the beginnings of the plot and I just know the interactions between Jenn and Miles is going to increase right along with the tension and chemistry. I'm on pins and needles with the anticipation! This is book four in the Bossy Seattle Suits series about bossy billionaires and the quirky women they fall for. This series follows the Chicago-based Bad Chicago Bosses series. Though this Seattle series is somewhat similar, it does have a slightly different feel.

This was a very angsty book, so if that’s your thing, you’re in for a treat. I felt like there was too much angst between the milestones. I also felt like the people were a bit pretentious and the Poe thing was way overdone. Also I hated the epilogue. Dakota Poe, twenty-four, has a lot of attitude. The jaded blonde beauty has a super sweet side, but she also has a strong feisty streak that won’t be tamed. She recently moved to Seattle and hopes to make it her forever home. She comes from Dallas, North Dakota. Many of Dallas’s younger folks eventually move away to bigger cities, but until last spring, Dakota had hoped to stay. Jay Foyt broke her heart and forever crushed her dreams of a happily ever after when he failed to show up on their wedding day. Being abandoned and humiliated is hard to live down in a small town. She no longer believes in love, so she is working on her career. She pounced on the opportunity when presented with a job offer in Seattle, but the pay leaves something to be desired and the work is not rewarding. She is therefore looking for something better. Dakota loves writing, and like her distant relative, she gravitates toward poetry. Being related to Edgar Allen Poe has long led to jokes, but she shares in the dark vibe of her ancestor. She won the Young National Poet’s award while in high school, and she hopes to eventually find more time to pursue her poetry. I almost didn't finish this. It was ... not good. This is the kind of cheese that made me abstain from any romance books until very recently. Miles is the bossy next-door neighbor who wants to buy it. Of course, he's not happy when she turns down his offer so he tries something different, he offers her a job to help her pay for the expensive repairs but also to help him with the advertising his company is in desperate need for. He hopes in time, she will see that he isn’t as bad as she thinks he is. OMG! To say I love this story is an understatement! What a ride! I am not going to spoil it, but this is one Fantastic Read! Every time I read Nicole Snow’s romance books, I know I am in for an emotional rollercoaster.This story developed well with both MCs seeing each other in a different light. I loved the humour of these two however I don’t know anyone in the real world who would still have a job if they behaved like Dakota and Lincoln😂😂 This didn’t need to be as long as it is. I skimmed a lot of it and then at 90% I just skipped to the end. It was too syrupy, corny, cliche and angsty. snow spent 60% of the book on the enemies storyline but was not able in all of those words to create genuine chemistry between the lead characters. She wasted more time than any human with a life would put up with writing the I can/can’t, i will/won’t, I do/don’t. Nope, No, no thanks. I was over both of the leads and their unrealistic fear of love and all the side stories. For me it was exhausting and finally boring. I’m recommending it because I know a bunch of readers will just eat this up. Trying not to be a hater but really by the end of this I wanted to give it no stars. This was my very first book from Nicole Snow and it will definitely not be my last. I do however hope that just maybe a book will come out for Wyatt and Meadow BUT I’m happy to leave their story here if need be. Definitely recommend this book! It has been a while since I read Nicole Snow, so when I got this opportunity with her upcoming release, I jumped on it.

As Lincoln and Dakota embark on a combative work relationship, their chemistry is probably obvious to everyone except themselves. They are both damaged; neither is looking for a relationship. Dakota still carries the self-doubt that has plagued her since her breakup last spring, and Lincoln will never commit to more than a single night of passion. He has well-guarded secrets that he does not want to give up, but Dakota takes things into her own hands. As circumstances bring them closer together, their walls slowly begin to crumble. But there are rules against an office relationship, so they must get creative if they are going to give things a try. The couple eventually earns a very happy ending.

I am intrigued by Wyatt Emory and Meadow and fingers crossed there will be a book about them in the future. I would love to know more about their story and where Wyatt fits in with the Heart’s Edge crew. I love that series and it’s one of my favorites. I also would love to see if there will be a book about Eliza. Miles is a CEO of a company, and has gotten a hardened heart due to a previous experience with a vicious woman. He blames himself for the death of his mother, and is now dealing with a father suffering with Alzheimer’s. His life revolves around his business and his father. Jenn is an independent media expert, but is burned out of working in an office. She inherits her grandma’s house, but the house is falling apart. She does not have the funds to repair it, but refuses to sell it, especially to Miles, her grandma’s next door neighbor. Miles and Jenn get off on the wrong foot, when they first meet, and their exchanges just make the situation much harder to bear. Pretend we’re engaged. Smile for pretty photos like we’re soulmates. Dress up like we’re actually getting married.We never saw the big picture that made up the theme of the story - the marketing campaign for the wedding line. Very little time was spent surrounding this innovative idea they had, then just like that it was gone and never heard from again. How did they end up doing the marketing for the wedding line? The part about Wyatt was excellent and kept me reading the book.
